Hi, I am 48 yrs old and have pretty good skin , however I do have some acne scaring "I can see" around my jaw line, large pores, & little unevenness around my chin area.
Had seen a plastic surgeon for my routine Botox & he recommended I try a halo & bbl laser treatment. I have to say I am very disappointed with the over all results as well as the hell I went through for several weeks after treatment!
I am writing because I have yet to read anyone with the same outcome & am wondering what went wrong or why my results were so different? I was red & swollen for several days which I'm sure is to be expected. I also had what I can only describe as a raised rash all over my face for @ least 4 weeks, along with a lot of little white head pimples on the surface and continually broke out with larger pimples deeper under the skin which continued to breakout all over for the next 5 weeks after treatment. I'd never been so broken out ! Don't know if it was caused from having to put Vaseline on my face for days, or possibly the sunscreen make up product I purchased from doctors office or if that was what you call" mends"? I was told to expect my skin to peel but I experienced more of a balling up effect .The roughness could be removed by washing & rubbing with fingers in circular motion or with wash cloth.
I feel like for any clearing of old acne scars the laser may have given, I got just as many from having the procedure. I see no noticeable difference in my large pores or improvement to uneven chin area . I'm wanting some feedback from a dr. As to "What there take is "from my experience & would you suggest I do it again ,as they recommend doing a series?
