This is a huge change from the first picture. There is a definite positive difference. Great result! Again, how many units did you get in each area? For example, I know I have been getting 40 total. 10 forehead, 14 between eyes (forgot the name of that - the “11s”), and 8 around each eye for crows feet. Last time, I had to go back for a touchup on my forehead where I was still making big lines with my muscles.

Dearest Mary, My forehead and crows feet wrinkles are now a thing of the past. I wish my ps would charge per unit, so I can be at the helm in determining how many units and how many dollars I’d prefer to spend. But, that’s not happening with my ps!!! It’s JUST per syringe.

Hi Mary! How are you doing with your diligent work in finding a scar revisionist? You certainly are formulating a world of knowledge on direct brow lifts! I love your drive to get this over with and move on with your life. Xoxo

No headway. You’ll be the first to know. Just had time to spend with family and 1 friend, and now it’s back to work 10 hours from now. A girl has to stop and live a little. Bad thing is that I really didn’t get to relax much over the holidays either. Busy, busy, busy! Love your new hairdo btw. Hope you had a warm and wonderful Thanksgiving!

It’s a blizzard here in Chi Town. No electricity and cold as heck. Thank goodness for my IPhone. I’ll keep busy looking at RealSelf.

Oh wow. I never check RS on a Monday because you know the first half of my week is survival. Lol. I'm glad I came over to peak in for a moment. Damn. I'm sorry about your power outage. I hope you have a fireplace or a generator for heat. Better yet, I hope your power is back on by now...about 10:30pm. It's been pretty cold here but not too bad today. High near 50 I think?! I don't want to check on here and have this message deleted accidentally. My company apparently didn't care to turn the heat on this day. I was freezing at work. Wore my winter coat all day in the office. Told you they were something else. Smh. Well, how was your Thanksgiving holiday?
User Avatar

Oh I guess it got I to the 50s. It's going to be mid-40s all week. I just checked. What's the temperatures like there in Chicago?

What... that’s line against proper working conditions. Sounds like you can call OSHA Inhuman working environment. My electricity finally came in after 12 hours. Brrrrrrr. Out in the garbage went all of my groceries that I just shopped for. :-( It could be worse. Think about the people in California. I will be just fine. We went to Dunkin’ Donuts yesterday and sat there with coffee and muffins in tow, charging my iPhone and keeping warm. I’m going next week for session 2 on my MICRONEEDLING!! Yeahhhhh. My thanksgiving was quite. Spent it at home and I cooked ( barely)! What about you?

Lol. And, it was cold all day yesterday as well. Omg. Inhumane is an understatement for that place. Nah, they try to save a buck wherever they can and if it means we layer our clothing to stay warm, that’s what they say we need to do! Lmbo. That’s great about your microneedling. I’ve done my own microneedling at home a few times but not enough to know if regular treatments make a big difference. Of course, the ones you are getting done professionally are more effective than the home dermaroller system I’m sure. I did notice a shedding of my skin in the week following my home microneedling. You’re face will be glowing even more! I’m also feeling the blah “out of the sun all year because of my surgeries” dull looking skin. I’m having my first BBL treatment tomorrow. There’s so much going on today. I reallly need to look up post-BBL-care. I know what to stay away from before the treatments but I’m usually much more educated on a procedure by now. It’s not surgery but still, I should have done more research on what I can do only end. I went full out on research for my botched surgeries. I’m glad you had a nice thanksgiving. I’m not any Martha Stewart myself. I ate a lot though!!! Luv u sis. Xoxo

I’m finally gettin a little bit of free time and I’m finding that I need it to catch up with things I’ve neglected and with all this holiday shopping and birthdays, renewing my health insurance or shopping for a new plan. There are just so many things to do that I feel like I am just short of time to start really researching and contacting revisionists. But, I WILL find that person. It’s unfortunate that I am working all of these hours to pay to have the surgeries I paid good money for fixed (at a much higher cost this time around). I don’t harbor hate I never my heart but it’s going to be a long time, if ever, before I can get over what my ps did to my eyes. I don’t even like referring to her as my ps. That woman.
User Avatar

Mary, where’d you purchase your derma roller from and how much was it? Hmmmm. No way that you should have to wear a coat at work to stay warm. It sounds like a third world
User Avatar
November 28, 2018
It’s a crime that you have to pay for this botched work. Especially now with the holidays and New Year, money is tight. No way would I refer to that butcher-ette as MY PS. More like P-S! I can’t say it in vain. The letter O is missing lol. I have to be ethical and supportive! Love ya my BFF on RS. You are one beautiful soul.

I stayed late as usual last night and there’s always one other person who stays late (but they come in late). He had a blanket over himself all day. Lol. It’s sad but funny for some reason right now. I purchased a DRS brand dermaroller (well-known and respected) from an eBay seller with a good reputation for selling beauty supplies a couple of years ago. I did use it a few times that year and then forgot about it. I feel like it did rejuvenate my skin but I didn’t stick to it. I used it twice this year and bought a new one a few months ago on Amazon (needles get dull over time). I have used that one time. There are many different needle lengths (I have used 0.5 and 1 mm). The one recommended for at home is more conservative than maybe a professional treatment because us nonprofessionals can damage our skin if we aren’t careful. The ones typically recommended are only 0.25 mm. Some come with instructions. There is also a lot of info and instructional YouTube videos online. The main thing is you don’t want over-roll and tear the skin, thus damaging it.
User Avatar
November 28, 2018
I know. I could really use that $5,600 back to get this fixed. I just know I will have to travel and pay a lot more for the revision. It has limited my ability to change jobs. My current job won’t pay me while I’m absent, but they will allow me to leave work for the timeframe I need to get the surgeries done. The bad thing is that the work piles up when I’m gone. I worked hard for that money so it’s very disappointing that someone who damages you thinks they have the right keep it all and take no responsibility.
User Avatar
November 28, 2018
I could just visualize you guy sitting at work with blankets. I would make sure I’d take my Dunkin’ Donut blanky. It’s pretty, and warm!! Lol. The home version of microneedling sounds like something I’d buy, and never use. I’m so known for that! I like instant results, and aggressive!!!
User Avatar
November 28, 2018
I honestly wouldn’t pay for it now probably. I felt the process was simple once I watched people in videos who had done all the research for me. I also don’t use the “safest” 0.25 mm needles. I think that’s ultra conservative. I would use nothing less than a 0.5 x 1 mm. I like the 1 mm one I have for use on most of my face. I can see using a 0.5 mm around the delicate eye area to be careful. You don’t want to mess with that skin. I think you’d like it. Do the treatments you have obviously but maybe google the topic and watch some videos and read about doing it at home in the future. Maybe I shouldn’t be giving this advice but if you follow the safe instructions from a reputable YouTuber, you should be fine. You never want to pick the roller up and Errol over the same area. That’s one top tip. That can tear skin or make too many “holes.” You want to pass (roll) an area back and forth about 6-7 times, going diagonally in both directions, up and down, and side to side. Really, a video will show you best.
User Avatar
November 28, 2018
I meant to say never RE-ROLL over an area you’ve just treated. You’ll overdo it ten and possibly damage your skin.
User Avatar
November 28, 2018
You sound like you can do a tutorial on the roller! I’m sticking with my Microneedling at my ps’ office. I feel like I’ll be happier with the aggressive route. But, I will YouTube it. Thx my friend.

Awww. Well, you know I love ya! I know, right. Botox is great but it seems like I just had it done and it’s time for another sesh. Expensive but I’m not ready to age any faster. Haha. Once I found Botox at 40, I just can’t go back and watch wrinkles get worse and new ones form. Ugghh. Xoxo. I’m glad you got the results you’re looking for. Oh, and I wasn’t being critical of the “per syringe” thing. I just hadn’t heard of it by the syringe. I’m sure many surgeons do it that way. I like the per unit because I recently needed a touch up (well 2 months ago) only on my forehead and I was able to get 8 units which really made a difference when compounded with the previous session (which was about a month or so earlier).
User Avatar
October 25, 2018
Ohhhh Mary, I never thought you were being critical of my choice of ps’ for my Botox. I know you’ve got my back, and want the best for me! Yes, Botox and I are bff’s every three months.
November 2, 2018
I have a question. I had a small injection of boric on my nose folds and it got into the muscle between my upper lip and under my nose. My smile was beautiful and now my upper lip is not the same. I've done nothing but cry. Please how long does this last I had a small amount many 3/4 syringe for both sides.
User Avatar
November 2, 2018
I’m really not the person who has the answer for this problem! I’m so sorry, but I’ve never heard of boric for nose folds. Maybe you should contact the doctor who administered this product. I hope you will find the right answer to remedy this problem. Good luck. Keep me posted.

After 6 syringes on my forehead, and crow’s feet, I’m waiting patiently for my wrinkles to dissipate. It usually takes my body 4 days to absorb the Botox and freeze my muscles. I’ll post another picture when my forehead is completely wrinkle free. Yeahhhhh

Hi many units did you get? It cu Don’t 6 syringes. Botox is in units. Typically, a forehead may require 10 to 20 units. I get 10, but should probably be getting 20 in that area.

Top of the morning to you Ms. Mary! It’s 5:30 am, and I’m in workout beast mode ( almost, after I finish this message)! Yes, for whatever reason my ps DOES NOT charge per unit of Botox. She has always charged per syringe. It’s $140 per syringe!!?? I’m usually at $840 in the deficit every three months after I eradicate these annoying wrinkles. I’m aware that the majority of ps’s charge per unit......She just has this “per syringe “ thing going on. Lol

Well, good evening Miss early riser! That’s great getting in your workout before you start your day. I wish I could do that. Not much of a morning workout person plus I go to sleep too late. Lol. Okay. That makes sense. There are probably 10 units in a syringe I’m guessing. It’s abot that time for me as well. In the last week, I can really see a difference around my eyes and forehead. Well, I’m about to be on my quest again and I’m errified. I wish I could ask a question in here and have the right doctor chime in with good news and an appointment for me. I may actually do that. I can’t think of a way to get to consultations and all the expense and still have to work.

It’s funny how around the 3 month mark those pesky little creatures come crawling back on our forehead. They’re relentless. It would be great if you can find someone to research a ps who can remedy your problem, set up the consultation for you, and of course, find a doc with a good reputation and affordable. Then, this won’t disrupt your diligent mind set for work!! Hugs.....

I'm hoping too. Thanks day was a very hard day, both the workload and the eyelid skin and scars really bothering me. Usually at work, I am able to put it out if my mind, but today I felt defeated and depressed. It took awhile to put on simple mascara this morning because the left lid that she messed up now has lashes pointing downward and even using a curler doesn't help much. I have to pull my skin up to get the corner lashes because the top and bottom are literally on top of eachother. :( I usually wouldn't say all this on here, but it's been getting worse as I see time pass and I still haven't gotten it fixed. I can't find the time, which is another reason I was so devastated when this surgery went awry. I knew it would be difficult to go through finding the right surgeon and time to have the revision done. I'm just very sad. Anyway, yeah, unfortunately it's time to dish out more $ for Botox.

I’m reading through this message and feel your anguish. I got the visual on the lashes pointing down. Ugh!! That’s a woman’s nightmare with makeup application. Sounds like the situation has not improved and, in fact, worsened! Need I say more.. I’m putting fuel on the fire. Don’t feel defeated. Come on Mary! Keep positive, and focus on your beautiful self. You got this! Use your real power... and call this doctor up, and let her know you’re still on the pursuit of PERFECTION!! You are relentless!!! Go get ‘em!!!

You’re right. Even if I don’t trust her to fix the problem, I have to call and at least give it yet one more chance. Maybe she will make good in her promises to not leave me in a state like this or refund what she promised. She needs to do something. I could move in but my anger with the broken promises is hard to let go. I feel like I can’t allow someone to make promises and break them. In any industry, that is just bad, immoral practice. Each visit has been difficult and even more so now after the last (and I had hoped final) visit.

How are you doing and any plans, cosmetic or otherwise, coming up?
User Avatar
October 31, 2018
I can commiserate with you on your unfortunate circumstances. It is so unprofessional to make promise to a patient, and not follow through with it. It speaks DISHONESTY!! And, a liar!! On the flip side...I’m scheduled for a brow lift on January 16. I’ll probably start a review on it soon. Thx for stopping by, love hearing from you and appreciate all your kindness.

I called today as I'm sick and have time but would rather being getting well. Anyway, I haven't heard back and I'll be back at work tomorrow morning where I don't have time for personal phone calls. Bummer. I emailed her pictures I took yesterday as well. So unethical in so many ways. First, promises to fix the problems, then offer to refund (only) half of what I paid, but has done neither. Pitiful and disgraceful.
User Avatar
November 1, 2018
It is just travesty! She is just unethical and should not be conducting direct brow lifts, especially under the extenuating circumstances that you’ve experienced.
User Avatar
October 31, 2018
I was going to ask you about the brow lift and if you had made a decision but didn’t want to put it out there in case you weren’t ready. :-) You have a wonderful surgeon, so I am confident and excited for you. Xoxo.
User Avatar
October 31, 2018
I’m definitely going forward with my decision on the brow lift. I’m hoping it will also open up my eyes a bit. My lids are getting smaller as the days go by. Lol. Yes, Dr. Sweis is one talented ps who has quite an artistic eye, and always gives me her iconic touch of beauty to all of her procedures. I will start a review soon just explaining why I feel the need to go forth with this procedure.
User Avatar
November 1, 2018
Wow. So, you've decided to go ahead with a brow lift. I think you look so beautiful already but understand. Are you getting a full lift (forehead) or just a temporal? If I had Dr. Sweis as my personal surgeon like you do, I would trust 100% in the results. I wish I could find that one surgeon nearby I could trust like that. Very fortunate. Definitely keep us all posted. I agree you should begin a brow lift review for this. Stay happy and healthy my friend.
User Avatar
November 1, 2018
Ohhh Optimistic7, I’m getting just a temporal lift. That’s all she felt I needed. I trust her judgement entirely on this decision. I will definitely keep you all posted on RS. It is scheduled for January 16. Happy days to you too!!! My optimistic friend. Xoxo
User Avatar
November 1, 2018
Perfect! A temporal lift. That should be really nice and not overdone looking. Your doctor's work never looks "fake." They a is exactly what I recommended to my "31 years of experience ps," but what do I know? Direct brow lift it was! Lol.
User Avatar
November 1, 2018
I am sure my ps doesn’t perform direct brow lifts. I’m guaranteed a natural look, always, with her expertise. So sorry that you did not get the results that one would expect after a brow lift. Direct lifts are known to leave scars, but not to the degree of yours!! I hope that you can find the right doctor who can correct this nightmarish situation.
User Avatar
November 3, 2018
I’m sure she wouldn’t as I found out later most surgeons will never do a direct brow lift. The only people even having them anymore are older men with a lot of loose forehead skin and bushy eyebrows to at least cover the scar somewhat. I still blame myself but I had read and couldn’t find much on the direct lift and the reason for that is because they are antiquated and barbaric. How a supposedly skilled experienced oculoplastic surgeon could recommend this on a young woman with a smooth forehead and blonde sparse eyebrows is beyond me. She drew me in with her sales speech and I signed up. I’m beside myself. I checked my emails and she did not reply. This is how she follows up with her patients...lies about fixing her mistakes and then lies about refunding some of the costs I paid for surgery. What a greedy, selfish, uncaring woman.
