Nearly 6 months after taking them off

I haven’t updated lately because of my busy mommy lifestyle but also I was getting used to my new smile, getting used to my new bite too! That was not always easy I must admit. I was very happy after the braces were off but sometimes I doubted and knit-picked whether my teeth were as “fixed” as I wanted them. Some days I would smile in the mirror and swear they were still crooked and that maybe I should have worn the braces longer. Don’t know where the lack of confidence was coming from... maybe the image of what they used to look like was so burned in my memory that I still saw the ‘before’ smile when I looked in the mirror.
With time though, I have gotten to be happier and more please with my new smile.
I did find though that the front teeth need to come back a few millimeters. Talked to my orthodontist and we talked about shaving in between the teeth (interproximal reduction) and putting braces back on them for 4 months or so. We’ll put them back on around mid-January and i’m hoping to get them off by end of April, before my graduation May 12th.

Collage of progress so far

I just had to make a collage of the progress my teeth have made in these 2 years. Wow!

Loving the new smile

Can't wait to see what it looks like braces-less ????

Dr. Aaron Sutton was very kind and assuring. I had been to a lot of Orthodontics over the years who have made me feel pretty uncomfortable, intimidated, and got me feel really weird about my teeth' condition. Dr. Sutton was the complete opposite and actually made me feel like the condition of my teeth was not that bad and could be corrected. He gave me a lot of confidence from the first meeting. I knew right then that I would be in good hands with him.
