I had a breast reduction 2 weeks and 5 days ago, I am bigger than ever....I feel so disappointed, but my PS says this is normal swelling and it takes time. It seems most people that have posted on here see some sort of reduction after 2 weeks...I am so depressed about it,,,it is all I can think of and what I went through for this sort of a result....I see him again on tues, he keeps saying they will go down, but something in my head tells me he did not take out what I requested period. Wondering if he were trying to please my husband more than me..???
Just thoughts I have going through my head....please, please, has anyone else felt this way and nothing changed after nearly 3 weeks?? I keep posting about this, but guess I need someone to say, it is normal, but so far I have not seen that on this forum...Thanks for listening....

I believe I have developed an infection on the left nipple, this is the breast he worked on most, has anyone else had an infection from this procedure? I see him again on Tues, but I am somewhat concerned....

I have the same problem as you Catlaw7, I had my BR two weeks and 2 days ago, I am 188 lb and I was 40f, my doctor said I will be down to c/d cup size and that was exactly what I wanted. I don't think there is any difference in size I might be ddd and they look really big. I try to ask him if he removed enough tissue to make me the size we originally discussed he just says they will shrink in the next few mounts. I don't think that I will see that much difference, I have seen some pictures and you can see the results within few days, I think he is not telling me the truth he knows that it is not enough the amount he removed. He took like 600cc from each side, the way I see it he should have taken more.
I am so depressed, I keep crying a lot, I just can't believe it that I went through all the pain and more than five hours sergury to still have big breast.
I just hope that they are telling us the truth, that we will be happy with the finall results we just need to give it little more time......

Hi Hope: I know the feeling....I go to my PS this morning and again will express my disappointment. It was 3 weeks yesterday since my reduction. More concerning right now is an infection I have in my nipple area.....goodness, hope we didn't go through all this for nothing...I can see a very little change, but darn little....Our Dr's are saying the same exact thing...lets be sure and keep in touch, I will let you know what he says this morning......

Hi Hope: All went ok, had to have a couple of rows of stitches put in the left nipple area that opened up...no infection though...he still reassures me I am full of fluid and I will get smaller. I have no choice but to be patient I guess. We live in SC in the winter and Maine in the summer, we are heading out tomorrow for our home in Maine, so will be off computer for a few days...but, lets keep in touch since we both are going through the same thing and had our reductions within a week apart and still BIG....UGH....keep me posted and I will do the same...so far it does not seem like anyone else is having this issue....everyone seems to be elated and after a fairly short time.....I am so ready for smaller ones....take care

Hi, I hope it was not that painful, can I ask you some things, how many hours was your sergury, how painful was it and if you know how much Sid he take and you before size? I was in so much pain I think it was the worse thing in my life, I had to take perk every four hours and not that much help....
The pain went down after my first Post which was after five days. The nurse told me all that pain was from the huge tapes on my stiches and on top of that the tight bra they had me in....
I been reading other people's comments and they make it sound painless recovery.....any ways it's all this things adding up and the results that drive me crazy.....how is the shape of your breast are you atleast happy with that? I am not at all and the are not perky unlike the pictures that people post....

Hi HOpe: I really haven't been in much pain at all....he took 237 cc from 1 breast and 370 from the right side...ride side much bigger....not a great deal I don't think, do you? I was a 40 DD, I can now wear a 38D...but still big and not what I want....Mine are a little perkier, but you are right, not like the pic's people are posting....also no, the shape of the right breast I am not happy with, he says its just really swollen....Oh I don't know, I feel like you do, like I went through this for a very unnoticeable result...I hope we both like our end result SOON....keep in touch, like I said, after today, will not be back on computer until over weekend as we will be traveling...thinking of you Hope...hang in there girl, guess that is all we can do....

Hi cat, how are you? How is the left breast, I hope it is healing well, I think you need to give a break to that hand. My right side was giving me trouble and I realize it was from doing
A lot with that hand, last few days it feels little better. Size nothing has changed little beat on the left one, how about you, any difference at all? And you were asking about the post, I haven't seen it, when did that happen? And how was your trip, were you ok? Please let me know how you doing. Take care :)

I am doing fine. Our trip went well and now we are back in Maine...Ugh cold....nothing has changed with size here either, what should we do? We had our reductions around the same time, correct? Mine was 3/25.....my boobs are perkier though, just wish they would shrink down. How long did your PS tell you it would take? I fear they are not going to get smaller, well, we will have to cross that bridge when we come to it.....What post? guess I am confused too....keep in touch

HI Hope: Is this an old reponse because it says 15 april. It is Aug 19th...anyways, are you from N Myrtle Beach? I had my BR reduction there with Dr Cozart...let me know, anxious....are you still a lot bigger than you hoped for? I am and I am depressed, pissed, and everything else. My PS also keeps saying they will shrink over the months, well, next month is the 6 mo mark, had them done in March. Anxious to know if you are from NMB and who your surgeon was and we can talk....anxious to hear

I had my surgery 10/24/12. 1000 removed from each breast. I was a 38 DDD (probably more like an h but I tucked everything in a DDD). I was not happy with my results. Yes, I can finally buy shirts off the rack but mostly XL is all that fits. When he lifted my boobs they went wide. I still can fit into my DDD bras width wise but they are baggy In the middle. Last week I had lipo to get ride of the side boobage that was a result of the BR. Don't see much difference but today at my check up he said they were still swollen. He said my next step would be more reduction if I wasn't pleased but I am going to wait through the summer first to see how I feel. Also trying hard to she'd 25 pounds hoping that will happen. On more than one ocassion I've found myself in a dressing room trying on bras and crying. Not what I expected for sure.....

I finally found out that my Dr only removed 220 right side and 370 grams left side...this is hardly anything, no wonder I am still huge.....What should I do? He says I am very swollen and filled with fluid and it is going to take upwards of 6 months to have the breasts back in shape...I know I keep whining and crying about this, but for goodness sakes it was majory surgery and the results had better be what I wanted......

Actually he was insinuating the swelling was from the liposuction he did a week ago to remove some what I call side boobage. I do not think it worked like I was hoping. It is indeed depressing!

Surely you have grounds for getting a new reduction- for free- if he didn't follow your instructions? I'm not surprised you feel so down, you poor thing. That is not OK. It's not enough to make a difference. I'm sure he is compelled to reduce further becauses he failed to deliver first time. Thinking of you [RS bleep]

Do you have any pics of your before and after? I didnt see any on your profile..maybe we can give you another opinion. I feel so bad for you..and for me..as i still feel huge...and now i hate my scars, and my pathetic nipples! I need a revison on my left side where the drain was..the skin flapped over and it looks like a damn rectum! Not happy to have anyone cut on me..but no choice...he also didnt do lipo on the side, so i seem to have extra boob there too..ugh..hanging in there with you..!
