I've been following this site for quite a while...

I've been following this site for quite a while now, and it's helped me tremendously to make my decision. I'm 42, never had children, am very athletic, always had a nice chest that I was proud of - but it seems that quite suddenly - my boobs disappeared, or deflated.
I did have a full hysterectomy 6 years ago, and went through surgical menopause, so I'm curious if the lack of young hormones made this happen?
I don't want a lift, but in the first consultation the doctor said I was borderline for one. Last month after reading hundreds of reviews on doctors, I found one that I am super comfortable with. He said that I don't need to get a lift right now, and that a BA could restore the fullness of my breast, but that in the future I may need one.
I'm going with him and my surgery is less than 2 months away - Nov 24th. I'm getting the gummy bear shaped ones. I want to keep this as natural looking as possible, and didn't really want to go bigger but the Dr. said that I'll be bigger simply because I'm getting implants - which is ok because I used to be a lot bigger/fuller.
My bras that I normally wore were a 34D. Now when I wear those bras there is so much space.
The more I got serious about working out, the faster I lost volume.
I'm really not even nervous, just excited.
Any thoughts? Any suggestions or comments would be greatly appreciated.

I'm in same boat as you as i was always a c when I was heavier a d. Now a c just lost volume :(
I'm thinking in the 250-350 cc range to keep it more natural looking and less torpedo lol :) what size cc did he suggest ?ive also read the less cc the easier the recovery can be
October 6, 2015
We talked more about the result I wanted, but said we'd be somewhere in the range of 300-340cc because of needing to fill what I have.
I didn't know that the less cc,the easier recovery, but that makes sense.
So weird how it seems I suddenly lost so much volume. I looked at pictures of me at the beach last year and was kinda shocked. Never thought I'd need this.
Have you had any consultations yet?

No consults yet. I'm slightly smaller than you but we have very similar tissue and width. I know that sounds weird. I want to go to fiorillo and dr greenwald in Nyc. I just saw a girl that went to 275 but she was like a a cup she looked fantastic she probably went to a full c. I think us ladies probably need more cc . I was a d at some point. And also if I lose weight don't want to go too small it's a fine line :( I'm 5"6 135-140 38 yrs old for reference. I still get my period so don't want to get surgery right before cause think that would hurt even more.

I would do this sooner, but had to wait till my race season was over. Thinking winter will be a good time to recover too.

One more week - it will fly by before you know it!! I've heard that Dr. Fiorillo specializes in the gummy bear implants...have you decided on how many cc's you'll be getting?

Sorry I didn't reply earlier. I was getting so nervous that I had to just stay off this site.
Yes, I got 350cc teardrop shaped Cohesive gel, under muscle.
I didn't really want to "go big", goal was to add volume that I lost.

5 days post

Ok, did it!

Bree72
Today is day 5 post op. I got 350cc cohesive under.
Had it done on Tuesday, went to thanksgiving family dinner, barely rested that Fri and had to make an appearance at a work social. I was in killer pain first 4 days!
Today is my first good day. I was almost regretting doing this bc pa in would not stop, but am happy today. No pain meds, just ibuprofen.
Just looks so weird with them so high. This is normal right? I think I talky need to hear that this is normal looking.
Will wearing the strap thing help them drop, or am I just being impatient and shouldn't be so worried?
I go back to doc on Dec 7th. Saw him on 3rd day post op, said things were good, but I was in so much pain and didn't have a ride to his office (2 hours away) so didn't take pain meds that morning. ...I just wanted to get in and leave, wasnt thinking well enough to ask questions.

Oh, I also got the shaped ones, teardrop kinda. Want to look as natural as possible eventually.

They look great! Nearly three weeks, how do you feel? What did you PS say when you say him on the 7th. Mine is the 15th...we shall soon see. :-) I won't be doing a BL either. Were yours under or over muscle?
December 16, 2015
Hi
I feel great, no pain or weird feelings. I just wish they were not so full on the top and more filled in bottom, that's why I got the teardrop shaped. But I read that the textured ones, which I got, don't really drop - so I'm a bit concerned. Mine were under muscle.
PS said everything looked great and that they will still drop and settle, so I'm really hoping that's true. He also said to go braless during the day and I just started doing that hoping gravity helps.
Let me know how your apt goes - are you going back January 15th?
I go back Jan 4th, which will be my 6 th week post.
What is a BL?
