So after months of mulling it over, I decided to take the plunge and get my eyebrows microbladed and I really am starting to wish I never had. They have come out sooo dark and so thick - I really didn't think they'd end up looking this way. I haven't really liked them even from the start when she first handed me the mirror, and obviously now they are just getting worse as they start this gruelling healing process.
I had them done yesterday so that makes today day 2. They look ridiculous on my face and if it hadn't have been for so many others on here telling their stories and telling others to be patient I think I'd have lost my mind! I think I went for too dark a colour also. I tint my natural eyebrows so it made sense to match them but I am wondering if it's a bit too dark!
I am just hoping and praying over these next few days that they come out lighter and softer. I will post regular updates for anyone else out there - we're in this together!
God help me when I go into work tomorrow!

Day 3 - Feeling a lot better!
claire3603February 19, 2018
So today I put on a full face of make up and braved going to work. My colleagues were really nice about my brows, saying how the shape was lovely and how they aren't crazy dark, which makes me think they have faded a little - phew! I also think having a full face of make up has made them not seem as big and dark, they're just a bit bolder from what I usually would go for make up wise so when they heal they *should* be the right size and colour! Definitely recommend putting some make up on and then seeing how that changes how you feel about them.
One of my biggest concerns was that yesterday and the evening of the day I had them done, I couldn't really see the hair strokes she'd put in due to my brow's reaction to the procedure, so I was worried they were going to look like sharpie eyebrows, but I swear I can see the strokes a lot more clearly now as they start to settle, either that or I am just looking more intently! I am surprised at how relaxed I am at this point compared to everyone else's reviews.
I noticed they are also starting to scab, so the flaking process must be close! I am definitely not freaking out about them as much as I was, in fact I think I'm starting to like them and I'm looking forward to the end result! I really don't think people should be jumping to any conclusions about their new brows for the first few days - I think we forget that we did essentially have tiny cuts put in our eyebrows, so of course the skin is going to react in weird ways and the brows are going to look god awful for the first few days.

Be patient, after the scabbing process is done, they will DEFINITELY lighten and look much more natural. It's a process.

I’m in day 8 today and they have gotten so much lighter. I did the ointment healing from day one. I like the color and shape, but it needs to be filled in... that means going through that healing process all over again.

Day 5 - Peeling!
claire3603February 21, 2018
I'm on day 5 now and I'm so pleased they are really settled now and starting to peel. I've been excited to see what's been lurking underneath, and now I'm finally starting to see the results, I love it! But my god they are so itchy, and I miss being able to shove my face underneath the shower head after a long day at work.
But it just to goes to show, if you're feeling worried about yours, you really shouldn't be jumping to conclusions until the peeling process when you can see how the pigment has settled underneath the scabs. Yes it's super scary (I couldn't sleep the first night because I was 99.9% sure I'd ruined my life), but your skin does strange things when it's been 'attacked'. I'm also glad I got them darker (even though I looked like Helga from Hey Arnold), as knowing me I would have wondered why I bothered with the whole thing if they weren't that apparent on my face, but each to their own on that one.
All in all, I'm so so happy and anyone else that is worried, just hold on and "trust the process" - it's true! Stop panicking, distract yourself somehow and look forward to your newly fleeked brows!

Yay!! Mine are starting to peel too. So far it’s been in very tiny pieces so I’m super excited to see them when they are fully peeled!

How are they now? Mine are 80% done peeling but still dark. I’m hoping she can lighten them up when I go for my touch up.

When it first started scanning and peeling did it seem as if the pigment didn’t take?
March 27, 2018
A little bit yes, but then it came back. I felt like mine looked quite 'blurred' at first.

Yeah I don't understand the not getting them wet thing... I've been ever so gently wiping them with a clean cotton pad using warm water to take off any build up, then with a clean finger re-applying the after care ointment. So far so good! Looking forward to when I can shove my whole face under the shower head again though!
