Hi everyone! I haven't updated in long time because everything has been great and I honestly forget that I ever had this procedure!
I'll update with photos, esp scar photos, in the next week or two. I stopped using scar tape/gel pretty quickly because I kept forgetting, but I don't consider their appearance a big deal. This procedure and recovery actually went so well that I was thinking about doing it again in the future. I definitely won't, since anesthesia always carries risk and I'm happy where things are, but if I did want to, I would have no hesitation about going back to Dr. Bednar. I'm really happy he did my fat transfer.. I had an excellent, textbook experience, and I highly recommend him!
Highlights--
- Retention is still good!
- Lumps are gone
- All other body parts are back to normal (no numbness, textures)
- Scars are minimal and still fading (they look fine to me, but they're not invisible)

Hi any updates?
April 15, 2019
Thanks for the update. I have been following your journey and it’s really encouraging. I have my surgery scheduled for 2nd May 2019 and am praying I have a great story like yours.

Oh look great :) do you have any long term post op photos? As many women have said they have lost volume during months 4 and 5. Thank you :)

I am super happy with how the procedure worked out! My boobs look great, way fuller than before, and I haven't had any loss since my last update. When I had my phone check-up with Dr. Bednar, he said that I had retained almost all the volume--70-80% I believe it! There is still a small asymmetry in volume between my two breasts, but it's not noticeable unless you stare pretty hard. Overall, I have gained 1-2 cup sizes and love my boobs!!!!!! Would totally do this again.

Oops--11 months, not 1 year!

Thanks for the update! Would be great to see photos of your breasts and the lipo incision areas. I'm more worried about scarring..

I'll upload photos in the next week. The scarring under my boobs is very faint now and I think it'll be invisible in another year. The lipo marks under my butt are more obvious because they're dents...they haven't filled in but they don't bother me. If someone looks at my butt, they would definitely notice since they look like bug bites or something!

Thanks for getting back to me! I can't wait to see your photos. Are you still satisfied with your breasts?

Looks great ! I'm curious about the discomfort / pain involved with this procedure. Did the breasts experience pain? How about where you had lipo? For how long was there pain / discomfort?
March 13, 2019
The pain was not bad at all. The first few days after the procedure are the toughest because you feel very stiff and swollen and achy. It feels awkward and scary to move or bend to do anything, but it doesn't hurt. The meds took care of any pain I felt, plus I was sleeping a lot. I think I remember feeling nauseous as the anesthesia wore off. They give you meds for nausea, but that wasn't as effective for me for some reason. All in all, the pain is minimal. Expect numbness, soreness in the boob area, and feeling stiff and awkward. I think that lasted around 2 months, but most of it was gone after 2 weeks.

I had lipo in my butt and back. Again, no pain, but I did lose feeling in those areas for months. Like if I touched there, I would feel a numb tingly feeling, This is completely normal, and I didn't think about it much. Everything was feeling back to normal at least 1 year after the procedure.

The majority of the discomfort was definitely from wearing the special garment in the summer. The humidity and sweat and tightness was a horrible combo.

That's wonderful. Your breasts look really great, this has definitely increased my trust in the procedure. Don't worry about asymmetry and a difference in size. I think many, if not most women have that "issue".
March 13, 2019
Thanks! This is now much later and I don't notice the asymmetry at all. Everything is very comfortable and natural and I forget that I ever had a procedure!

That is awesome! Do you still have the lumps?
March 13, 2019
Lumps are gone! I didn't think about them too much so I don't know when they disappeared, but it took at least 1.5 years.

I love my boobs! Definitely a 32d or dd, I was a small 32c before. Im wearing an old 32c bra that was too big for me before, and now it's too small (the bra digs into the top and of my breasts in the side views) I'm measuring 36" around the bigggest part, which is the same I was measuring two weeks post op.

Observations:
-my right breast is about half a cup smaller than the left. I don't think it's noticeable unless you're staring at me naked (looks fine in clothes)
-I have lumps in my right breast and a small lump on my left. Again, not noticeable.
-one really cool thing about this surgery is how natural it look so. This is because your boobs will keep their same shape! For me, my boobs are side and bottom heavy, and most of the fat gathered there. If you have close set boobs, the fat will stay in the center. I don't think this surgery will change the shape of your breasts, so don't base your hopes on one person's results if their before pictures are pretty different from yours.
-scars are still there. My butt scars are flat but dark and big. My boob scars are bumpy and red. I still use the scar gel and scar sheets.

I'm so happy for you! It's a great feeling to love your boobs! Very pretty bra too. When/how did you discover that you had lumps? I haven't been feeling my breasts much yet, but wonder if I'll get any. I agree with you that your boobs keep their same shape, just get filled in nicely.
