After being on this page for about a month, reading reviews, comments, looking at pictures, I FINALLY scheduled my first consultation! Not until nov. 11 but thats okay with me.

I've been back and forth about getting a BA for about 4 years now. Before I was married, before any kids, but I just never did it. Now married and one child later, I'm feeling ready to explore my options. My daughter is a year old and was breastfed for 10 months. I was never large chested to begin with, maybe a 36B, but after breastfeeding I lost anything I had, about an A now (I live in sports bras and workout clothes, not sure my actual size). My husband and I were unsure about doing this now, rather than after we were completely done having children, but we aren't even sure if we are going to try for more. We are content now and I'm ready to enjoy some freakin boobs and feel more feminine! This site has shown me SO many different stats, breast sizes, implant options, super helpful!

So glad you started a pre op review so you can start to gather all your information and support group in one place. ;) Here is an important list of questions to ask during your consult. Here is a link to a member, Iris34, who got implants over a year ago, and is now pregnant. You might enjoy reading her story. Good luck and update us often!

Consultation done! Appt booked!

Had my consultation yesterday with Dr. Zannis and booked my surgery date, Dec 23! Merry Christmas to me!! Had a really good consultation, the nurses were extremely nice and the office was great! He measured me and gave me a size range. I tried on sizers and my left is slightly smaller than my right, which I knew. For some reason i had a harder time breastfeeding on my left so my right most of the work, so theres a little more tissue there.

I tried on 400 R and 450 L and then 450 R and 500 L. When i tried on the 450 and 500, it wasn't a huge difference but seemed a tiny bit big for me. So the nurse told me i could go in between sizes, so 425 in my right and 475 in my left Is what was decided! They didn't have those exact sizers in the office. I came home and looked around at pictures of 475 and 425, hard to get an idea when its two different sizes...and then i thought well maybe 500 won't be so big after all? HOW do ladies decide??? Lol. I really don't want to experience the "boob greed" and i know i will happy with anything larger than what i have now! But its hard making that decision!! I have my pre op on dec 9 and the nurse said if i want to try them on again or i change my mind on size, just let them know. He's using the Sientra Gel and going under the muscle. I'm also kind of nervous having two different implant sizes... I know it's somewhat common and that's what he suggested, so I'm going with it. but I'm nervous they won't end up the same size. Anyone else done it this way??
