I had my consultation about three weeks ago & I am still waiting on my insurance to reply back. I called the surgeon office & they ensured me they submitted everything the insurance needed & now I am just waiting on them to call. Anyone else experience the same with your insurance turnaround time?

Breast Reduction

So my breast reduction surgery is schduled for oct 11th which is less then 4 weeks away and I couldn't be more excited and nervous at the same time. My doctor will be removing 345 grams from each breast and I am currently wearing a 32 DDD. I'm 5'0 and around 143 pounds. I was told that I would be a full b, c cup once survey is completed but wanted to see if anyone could give me any advice or suggestions prior to surgery. Oh yeah, my insurance covered it and I am currently waiting on my fmla / short term to be approved. Hopefully it all goes well and there are no discrepancies.

Good luck. I had it done 3 years ago and wish I wouldn't have. I had complications and my right nipple is twice the size of my left and I still don't have feeling in the bottom part of my breast. I have a lot of scaring around my areola on both sides. I
would not do it again. Although I need a revision I'm afraid it will make it worse.

Good luck! I am similar size as you are, I was aiming for a B cup from DDD. Now I am @ 4 days post op. Insurance required 320gr. My breasts were uneven, and Dr. planned to remove 50-70gr more from the bigger breast. He did remove 450gr (!!!) from bigger vs 330gr from smaller. Maybe it was an overkill (on a difference compensation), since I feel and look other way around lopsided now. But I like my smaller boob much more!
Good luck, have bunch of soft pillows! It doesn't hurt too bad! :)

Surgery in 4 days!!!

Okay so my surgery for my breast reduction is in 4 days and I couldn't be more excited yet nervous! I'm on real self website everyday all day along with YouTube searching all kinds of breast reductions. It's hard to NOT to search and watch videos the breast reduction! I already had my pre op appointment and already have my medicines. My surgeon doesn't lean towards the drains so I'm happy about that due to hearing how painful and uncomfortable they could be. I'm more so just anxious and ready to be next and back pain free! I'm not to worried about scarring being that I had two c sections I heal pretty well. I'm currently a 32DDD and insurance is covering 90% of the bill. They are to remove 353 grams from each boob! Well, let the countdown begin !!
