Last year, I had a face lift and brow lift. Dr. Mirabile had done a breast implant replacement for me nearly 10 years ago and I was very happy with the results. Also, he did a friend's facelift around the same time, and she looked amazing. I felt confident in trusting him to do the facelift. I flew back and forth from Florida several times, even once buying a last minute ticket for an additional flight because his staff forgot to tell me about a second appointment to get the back of the head back staples out.
For a short while after the surgery, everything looked great, but as the swelling and initial tightening started to wear off, I began to notice more and more sagging of my cheeks and jowls. Dr. Mirabile always assured me that everything was great. I did look marginally better but not great, so after my last visit with him in April and no luck in getting him to listen to my concerns, to get some other opinions. I'd made up my mind that I would talk to a couple of other plastic surgeons, and if they shared Dr. Mirabile's opinion, then I would live with whatever results I had. I talked with 4 plastic surgeons - 3 board certified, one experienced microsurgeon who was in the process of his plastic surgery certification. Every one of them told me that my facelift results were sub-par, that my stitches were done very roughly esp. in front of my ears, and that a lot more tightening could have been achieved. We had discussed what may happen if the desired results were not achieved with the first surgery. It is a standard practice among plastic surgeons that if further surgery is needed to enhance the results of the first procedure, the surgeon does not charge a fee and the patient just pays for the anesthesia. I was absolutely willing to do that. Dr. Mirabile told me that he never needed to do a revision.
He is a bit arrogant, but I've had such good results from my precious procedure that I trusted him and I did not think that it would be an issue. Well, the surgeon who eventually did my second surgery told me after I woke up from anesthesia that he took so much skin that it was as if I'd never had a facelift. Now I finally am starting to look the way I expected to look. I should not have had to pay someone else to do this when it was Dr. Mirabile's responsibility to finish the job he was paid to do.

I had the same experience with rhinoplasty. Had a surgery January of 2014, was very unhappy with the result but dr.Mirabile stated "this is the best I can do, I can't make it better". Also, he told me he is very happy with result. I guess, the most important dr.Mirabile happiness when he put your money in his pocket. So, I went to different doctor, end up paying twice for wanted result.

Gee don't you just hate when a Dr. has NO integrity, and doesn't help fix what he did wrong? that happened to me, except unlike eyecandy I went from NJ to Florida to get my face done, and got the same treatment. This guy wouldnt even give me Kenilog for my keloid horrible itchy scars behing my ears and scalp on my 8 month check up. He told me to wait a year....I had to take a freaking plane to see him and for 4 months he would't spring for it. When I got back here, a doctor took one look and said "these arent going anywhere!! He injected them and of course I had to pay i think $200.00 bucks when the idiot in Florida should have done it for free as part of the follow up. He also told me all was going well.....and it wasn't. It was not a good outcome but to him, he said it was perfect (the usual response from a "NO integrity Idiot"!! I have seen numerous docs to fix me and they all say this was not a good job. I have to decide now who is the best for me since I cannot go through this again. I know one thing, I will never Travel again. What a nightmare when there is a problem.

It took me so many years to finally decide to do this surgery. And I made a mistake by choosing dr.Mirabile. As a medical professional his answer should sound like "I can try to make it better, I want you to be happy with the result". But his reply was very arrogant and unacceptable. You came for improvement but end up with disappointment.

sometimes, I think we are better off that these guys didn't try to fix our problem....maybe they would have made it worse. I believe their arrogance is their way of making us go elsewhere because they are cowards and lack the integrity that they should have as a Doctor....

Can you tell me the doctor who fixed you? Thanks

Leonard Hochstein, MD. He is in Miami Beach, FL. Did I mention that he also had to correct the grotesque scars that Dr. Mirabile had left in my front hairline? He could only do so much, but he thinned them out and made them less noticeable. I don't understand how a plastic surgeon with decades of experience can think that this result was acceptable. He is an arrogant prick and I hope he chokes on the money I wasted on him.

Same question. I am having such a hard time finding someone who has the record of the degree of results I want. I also look at all these B&A photos and wonder why did they bother? the improvement is so minimal. I had a funny vibe on this guy , so thanks in advance. Everyone is doing breasts anymore! I need a great face guy!
