WORTH IT
I received butt injections approximately 10 years ago. Fast forward to now, I need it out. I've been depressed and my quality of life is at a low. My butt don't look that bad, but it's hard as a rock and its painful to sit and lay on. I also have some bruising. I just got approval through my insurance on Friday and the surgery is this Wednesday. No time to prepare mentally. However, I prayed to God for a way and he has made it for me. He is my refuge! When I look back, I always have breathing issues and have been very tired lately. To say the least, it's embarrassing to tell friends and family about the ordeal. It's an epidemic that need to be bought to the fore front. I just told my family today and I literally cried for 6 hours. I'm scared and just want it to be over. My doctor said it's a high risk surgery and I will have a womb vac. Recovery time is unknown. I'm blessed to have family that will help and are here to love me unconditionally. To all of you, thank you for the encouragement to get this done and to write this to help someone that is holding in this secret. I will keep you updated. No pictures right now, but I'm working on building up my nerves to do so. I will respond to inboxes. Say a prayer for me!

It's been 11 days now post op. I was in the hospital overnight and went home the next day since it was considered outpatient. Dr. Lambros Viennas (Norfolk, Va) at EVMS did my surgery through my insurance. I was cut on the sides of both butt cheeks and had 2 drains (removed on day 8). The cuts are about 4 inches each, but seem to be very thin. I can't really see them with the steri-strips on them.
At first I had two indentations that looked like I would be deformed. But, after he took the drains out, the stitches attached to the drains were cut off and miraculously, my shape started to come back overnight. The right side is coming back slower. Nonetheless, it's not even two whole weeks yet send I'm very pleased.
The pain is bearable, especially after the drains. I could always lay on my back and use the restroom with little problems.
He wasn't able to get out 100%, but I feel 200% better. My energy level came back immediately and my butt is squeezable again. I had forgot that soft feeling. I can also sit and lay without the pain.
For you, I pray that you find the peace I've found. It was God that governed my situation and I thank Him daily!

Do not be afraid to put pictures up! This is your journey so embrace. No 1 is proud of the mistake made in the past but please damn sure be proud of the successful outcome u have! Thankful that God brought u through even though he didn't have to! Ur strong, you got this. Just thank God for your health and let Him handle the rest. I also want to know how to u get ur insurance to cover it? Do u contact a plastic surgeon 1st or ur PCP?

I went straight to the plastic surgeon. It was a medical need, not for cosmetic reasons. I guess if you need to build a case for your insurance company, the PCP would be the right route. However, my insurance is a PPO. My insurance approved me on Friday and I had surgery on Wednesday. It's all in how the doctor write it up/ code it.

I felt that way about posting my photos. Then I realized how can I help someone by hiding, people would start thinking my story is not really only just to promote a Dr. Plus no one will know it me. Hopefully you can fully share your journey one day.

I just called his office and they don’t have any photos or videos of his before and after surgeries he has done. So how can someone know if this Dr do this or just trying to get started.

This is only my experience. Do your research and do what you think is best for you. I put up my pictures and I hope it can at least help one person. I'm not promoting my doctor. I only posted his name after several people asked in my inbox. I hope you find the help you need.

Of course you have do you own research 100 on that. If we are hear to tell our story to help each other it’s just helpful, because the Dr’s staff will post things to drive business their way. And as to you and everyone that post on here I’m thankful for every story.

Hello. Who was your doctor? I had mine removed and paid over 10K in 2016. I am still having problems and I have dark spots and in the crack of my butt I have this thick ridge like skin that has formed. I think I need to get surgery again.

It looks good from what I can see. Congrats it's over for you! Only up from here girl. I can't wait to get mine out thanks for posting pictures! I will be posting mine soon. I have pictures right after I got injected and it looks gross lol it turned out looking good but I ended up getting discoloration. Good luck with ur heeling,

Thank you for posting and sharing your testimony. I really needed this. I too am in the same position and I’m looking for a doctor. It’s a blessing you have insurance that covered it, I don’t have any insurance. I’m praying I get approved for insurance soon. I will be doing the same and posting for awareness. I’ve been feeling so tired and unmotivated. I have headaches all the time. I’m asking the Lord to have mercy on me and carry me through. Thank you again!

The Blood still works so don't stop until you get it out. I know it gets discouraging at times. I know you are depressed, but God! He can make a way out of no way. He guided my steps through this. I was down in the dumps and I really only knew the reason why. Once I started seeking God, my situation turned. He is a healer! I am truly blessed and my story seems crazy, but it was nothing less than a miracle. Please stay encouraged...
