Surgical debridement surgery
Had surgical debridement surgery yesterday September 7th with Dr. Mancoll of va beach,va. Surgery went great in some pain I have 2 drains. I was so glad Dr. mancoll reached out to me cause no telling what would have happened with my first ps.

Not so great wish I would have not had this surgery
I'm so upset and uncomfortable more so I'm frustrated with my healing process it's so bad at this point I don't know what to do.

well my first PS did nothing but tell me it will get better and it didn't. he had me apply bacitracin to it and cover with non adhesive dressing to it. so I went and had a second opinion and I have another surgery scheduled for Sept. 7

Are you getting a skin graft to close it? I am having 1 tomorrow. I clean with saline and applied saline wet to dry dressings twice a day and all the slough came off ( that is what you have in the pic) then you are left with a meaty looking base.

I think he going to go in a see what dead tissue and good tissue I have left then close me back up. He warned me that I may come out very small. I'm still swollen also.

Sweetheart that's horrible I pray that you heal ok! I had a similar issue but it was much smaller and finally healed about 9 months later
