I've decided to chronicle my journey here since I've learned so much from you ladies over the past month. Some background: I'm 35 years (ugh), 5'3", 110lbs, and mother to 2 great little kids (ages 4 and 20 months). Before pregnancy, I was a small 34B and after prolonged BF'ing and some weight loss, I've deflated to 34A. I have some pronounced asymmetry, as both my kids preferred nursing on my right side. I've consulted with 2 PS, and am thrilled with the one I've chosen. Both think I will need different sized implants due to asymmetry, and one believes I would benefit from a Bennelli lift on the right. However, although I'm 99.99% sure we're done with baby-having, on the remote chance that I decide to have a "hail-Mary" baby in a couple of years, I've elected to forgo a lift at this time. If I need one down the road, I'll get it.
Because I'm a runner, and also due to personal preference, I have decided on smaller implants just to get me to a full B/small C. PS and I have settled on 200-225 on the right (larger)and 225-250 on the left (smaller). He will use sizers during the surgery to decide on the best size implants for my body. My BWD is 12.4, and since I prefer more "slopey" lower pole fullness, PS recommends Mod+ Mentor smooth silicone unders.
Thanks again for your stories and photos! I'll be posting more as surgery approaches (8 weeks!)

Update...asymmetry may be an issue yet.

So, I decided to ask a question to the doctors regarding my asymmetry issues. I asked if they thought If a lift would be necessary on my right side because of the difference in volume as well as nipple position. I received several thoughtful responses, and eight of the nine doctors who answered thought that I would definitely need some type of lift or nipple repositioning to achieve better symmetry. This was a bit discouraging, but not unexpected. My plastic surgeon said that implants alone would be sufficient to make them look symmetrical enough in bathing suits and under clothing, but that naked I would likely still see a difference. After thoughtful consideration, I've decided to proceed with implants alone for the time being, as I'm still concerned that a lift would make breast-feeding more difficult if I ever chose to have another baby in the next several years.
And I also figured that since the asymmetry hasn't bothered me up until this point, I'm not going to be terribly bothered by it after surgery. So with these realistic expectations in mind, I am getting super excited about my surgery in five weeks! Thanks for following my journey. :)

Hi kt1011, I love the size you are going with! I went with the 255 cc anatomical implants. I did not really notice any asymmetry before surgery since I really did not have boobs. Now, after BA it is actually kind of bothering me! I know it is not super bad, but enough for me to notice! So really talk to your surgeon about this! Just make sure you know about everything! I am 10 weeks post BA, and I love my new boobs, but I do wonder what it would look like if I went with a different size in my right breast! You will look beautiful, but it is good to talk about everything before surgery:) Good Luck to you!

Thank you! It's good to hear input from others with experience. Your BA looks awesome! I'm not entirely sure I'm ready for extra scars on one breast, but my PS said he'd give me a discount if I decide to do a lift later on. And he said doing the lift separate from the augmentation will actually result in a better cosmetic outcome. So we shall see! :)

I have asymmetry similar to yours. I had 4 consultations, and 2 of the surgeons felt a lift would be necessary to achieve better symmetry, while the other 2 did not. I chose to go with a surgeon who did not feel a lift would be necessary. Well, here I am 9 months later and let me tell you, implants make the asymmetry MUCH more noticeable! I cannot wear fitted shirts or swimsuit tops at all. One is much larger and lower than the other even though the one that was smaller now has a bigger implant by 50 CCs. I now have to go back in at the 1 year mark to have a revision done. The two surgeons who advised a lift were more experienced and I wish I had gone with one of them.
Good luck to you! I hope you have a better experience.

Hmmm, this concerns me. My boobs are not exactly different, but my right hip is high & right shoulder low. It gives me a curving to the right look. With A cups its unnoticeable, but when I stuff my bra it's really noticeable. I want a BA, but this worries me :(
