10 month update.

Hello all, well 10 months have certainly flown by now. Thought I would update you all as to where I am now. Tbh not much has changed, in the evenings I do still swell but my IBS probably has a part to play in that.
I still wear my corset sometimes or if I am going out I wear a waist garment similar to what you would wear to just flatten your stomach a bit. I think I have got a bit too used to the 'tight' feeling from all those months of wearing my binder.
I don't think all those days and hours in a corset has helped me at all. Sadly I think my short torso is destined to be the shape it is, I am never going to have the hour glass figure but it's still sooo sooo much better than it used to be.
Here are my updated photos and I will try and remember to come back and update again at 1 year but as it is now I think 'this is it' I am thrilled still with the outcome and even now at 10 months post op I still run my hands over my tummy and marvel at the fact my apron has gone.
Laying flat in bed I can feel my ribs and hip bones it still surprises me lol.
I have lost a further 4lbs not much but every little helps so I now currently weigh the same at I did In my teens, my stomach still isn't flat flat, I do have the curve, the surgeon told me I would have and I have come to accept that but I will still 'try' and get it flatter if possible. :)

Week later photos

Ok, so as I previously mentioned the photos in black top (above in 5 month review) was taken Sunday evening before bed these photos were taken almost a week later on Saturday morning as soon as I got up. Think these go to show that I am still swelling and eating is bloating me out. Hope this all stops soon as each night I examine my stomach and it looks distended like in black top photos and it's depressing. Anyway here are the morning photos.

5 month + update

Hello everyone, I haven't posted in ages! I guess life, kids and my health all got in the way but when following reviews I am always left wondering how people who suddenly stopped posting are getting on and where they are in stages of recovery and whether they are still happy with their results etc.

I am 22 weeks 2 days post op just over 5 months lol and I still have the bulge I mentioned in my last post. It's obviously not fluid now and it's now been mentioned it could be scar tissue with I suppose is where my muscle repair would have been done or near enough. It hurts if I cough or move strangely and feels quite heavy so I do still wear some support.

I don't know about you lot but are you lovely ladies still swelling, I am and I had hoped by now it would have stopped but guess not.

I took progress photos last weekend and nearly had a fit, I look pregnant, now I am hoping it's a combination of swelling, taking the photo late at night (before bed) and having an indulgent weekend of high junk foods I know tut tut. I usually take photos on a Saturday morning as soon as I get up but this photo was taken last Sunday night so I plan on taking another photo tomorrow morning and seeing if any change, I have tried to eat better this week as I was really really upset when I saw my last photos.

I have my friend who I haven't seen in over a year and a half coming down on the 3rd April and she does know I had a tummy tuck so in all honesty she is going to be giving me the critical eye knowing I had my stomach chopped off so I obviously wanna look my best.

Oh another bit of news does anyone here do waist training? Any tips? I have researched it and plan on doing it, I haven't forked out on the most exspensive corset but I have made sure it's steel boned and had waist training in the write up. I have a longline coming but I do have a short torso so my partner said he would buy the shorter one which I might need, it says you can decrease your stomach by 2-5inches permanently over time but obviously it's a long term thing and seeing as I wear support 24/7 or at least during the hours I am awake I think it's doable for me. I never had lipo so would like some more definition in my sides and a more hour glass shape.

Well I shall post the horrid photos that took place last weekend so you can all see and hopefully tomorrow the updated photos will look better. Honest opinions please, does it look like swelling, bloating or fat and what can I do to improve the flatness as best I can?

I was nervous about the operation as previously he hadn't decided to do muscle tightening and that was something I was certain about. I came on here for advice and got lots of comments about how muscle tightening would be to my benefit, so I went back and spoke to him he agreed to do it and so I was happy to go ahead.
