Headaches After Nose Filler

UPDATED FROM Mezxo

Update on my nose

So after uploading my review, my headaches subsided and went from being everyday to like once/twice a week. Now I barely get pain (so it must be related to dehydration). I also dissolved some filler on the sides of my nose as it gathered and migrated. So front wise it looks fine but from the side it’s still straight

Headaches After Nose Filler

Had nose filler 2x times within 5 weeks of each other (all included in price). I have never had any cosmetic surgery so this is my first experience. The first time round, I was absolutely fine. 5 weeks later i went for a top up and although I love my results, I bruised quite badly. My nose immediately went green/blue and for a week or so it changed to dark purple to then eventually red and now it is no longer bruised. My nose wasn’t sore it just looked discoloured. It has now been 3 weeks since I had it done and for the past week/10 days I have been experiencing really bad headaches. The first 2 weeks I was fine. Then I started experiencing eye strain, throbbing pain around my sinus and eye area (middle of nose). Today and yesterday have been really bad however I have extreme tension and pressure. It feels like my head and eyes are going to explode. My nose bone hurts which is strange as I only had the top of my bridge filled. I have been googling non stop so I’m aware of all the risks but I’m so scared because looks- wise, my nose looks fine but I can’t ignore the pain. I have also considered other things such as a possible eye prescription change (last checked my eyes 2 years ago) so I have booked an appointment which will be next week. I did also consider it being Ramadan and all these symptoms kicked in 2 ish weeks after the filler (a week after fasting). I will also be booking a doctors appointment because I can’t handle the pain. I messaged my filler lady and she said she doesn’t think it’s related and if I wanted to, I can dissolve it although she doesn’t think it’s necessary. I’m worried about going blind, having a sinus infection or something serious so I’m hoping my doctor can give an insight. I’ve never experienced headaches like this before (I don’t usually get them) and can’t help but think it’s related. Paracetamol worked in the beginning but now the pain is always there (before it used to come and go in the evening). Does anyone have any advice? I hope my doctor takes me seriously. Worse case scenario I go to dissolve it and everything goes back to normal but I just hope it’s not too late. I think I’ve worked myself up but I really hope it’s nothing serious.

I had a similar problem had infection.. was on antibiotic.. decided to have my filler dissolved.. problem hasn't gone away I still have a pressure on my nose.. still tender.. feels like I have a sinus.
awh I’m sorry to hear that. I spoke to my gp today, they told me to go a&e and be seen by an ENT who will hopefully have a look at me. I’m happy to dissolve my fillers but only if this makes the issue go away. My headaches are so bad it feels like my eyes are going to explode from my skull and Everytime I bend my head over I get really light headed and dizzy. I’ve had a few opinions from different aesthetics practitioners and they’re saying they don’t think it’s filler related and could be dehydration but I guess I’ll find out tomorrow. Pray for me and I’ll keep you in my prayers too!
Quick question about you dissolving your filler, do you think it made the issue worse? There’s lots of negative reviews on hyaluronidaise and I’m nervous now. I don’t want to disfigure my face but I also don’t want these headaches. I’ll see what the ent says but another Aesthetics person spoke to me (very highly qualified), she said she refuses to do nose fillers as they’re too dangerous and the filler my lady used apparently was cheap and probably hit a nerve which is why i feel like this. She told me to dissolve it and ignore the online reviews
I'm so sorry.. i'm also going to speak to my GP today.. he's going to ring me.. i'm going to ask him if you could refer me to ENT-I don't know how long that would take.. Could you please tell me how a&e works..? Maybe I should do the same-i'll see what my doctor says he's going to ring me in the afternoon.. Thank you for praying for me .. as you are in my prayers.. God bless
If he can refer me to ENT* Sorry correction
Hi.. i'm sorry I didn't see this message of yours.. if you still have a headache and don't feel good.. it's probably best you go and see a professional practitioner and have it dissolved.. mine is getting a little bit better, pressure and the dryness inside my nose is getting better.. but still feels bit tender it's almost 4 weeks after I had my filler dissolve.. I spoke to my doctor she was very good she said it would probably take 5 to 6 weeks before you get better because your tissues are damaged little bit inside your nose.. it was too much for my nose I had the filler done then after two weeks I had it dissolved it was too much going on with my nose.. I have been doing fillers almost 5 years now-every time I only had a little bit of filler.. but this time I went to somebody else and didn't even do proper research on her.. she just put too much filler inside my nose.. but please it's not too late to have it dissolved I had my dissolved after two weeks.. but I also had a very bad infection.. my nose was very red (swollen)and then after a few days I had blisters.. this is when I decided to have it dissolved.. i'm just about feeling a little bit better.. was really horrible feeling.. the anxiety I had was just horrendous.. by the time you read this message I pray that you're feeling better..
Hey no problem. I saw an ent today I’ll tell you what happened. They looked at my nose and said it’s not really their area of expertise and looks-wise, my nose looks fine. They said my headaches could be down to a number of things and they don’t think it’s completely related to my filler. I also saw my opticians yesterday who said my eyesight has worsened by 0.5 which could explain my eye strain. Overall I’m still not 100% sure why I experienced such awful headaches but they’ve definitely gone down since I last messaged here. Although my nose does hurt from time to time. That’s good your nose is getting better. I spoke to another person who does fillers and she told me the best thing is to get them dissolved as my previous nose lady used cheap filler (Revolax) which could be the reason I’m experiencing discomfort. My only issue with dissolving now is, I’ve read some really awful reviews online of how hyalase is dangerous and ruined their life. I know everyone’s experience is different but there’s literal Facebook groups demanding that hyalase should be banned from the market because it’s so damaging. I’m happy to leave my nose alone for now although the filler has gathered at the side a bit. I’m anxious to dissolve it in case I’m left worse than I started!
I'm glad you are getting better.. and I'm glad your headaches are going down as well.. my nose still hurts a little bit it's been 4weeks since I had my filler dissolved.. my doctor says it will take 4 to 6 weeks.. I know you said you're a little bit scared to have it dissolved .. but if your headache is gone maybe it's not the filler.. I had to have it because I had a very bad infection.. anyway I wish you all the best.!
Thank you so much! Speaking to you has definitely helped with my anxiety. I think I’ll do more research on hyalase and make my decision in a few weeks. Aesthetically, I don’t like my filler anymore as it’s gathered to the sides and it feels lumpy and I find myself constantly poking it near my eye. I hope your nose pain goes down. I think Im going to stay away from all cosmetic procedures haha
Getting much much better now.. hope you're better now.. like you said stay away from this cosmetic procedure..:)
