4 weeks after - Neck is saggy, beneath my chin is lumpy
MyEllevate is an icled neck lift currently being promoted by a select few doctors via social/printed/televised media as an effective alternative to a traditional neck lift. IT IS NOT IN ANY WAY A NECK LIFT! It will make your neck look so much worse. Please, don’t make the same mistake that I made.
I had the MyEllevate with Accutite and wore my compression garment for FOUR WEEKS post-procedure at the doctor’s advice. Four weeks and two days later, my neck is saggy, and the area beneath my chin is lumpy underneath with visible indents on the surface. Oh, and my platysmal bands - which MyEllevate specially claims to address - are more prominent than ever.
However, my doctor - who is one of MyEllevate’s most vocal and visible promoters - says it looks better than before. Perhaps a bit on the left side, profile view only? But the right side is droopy, and straight-on is worse. He partially blames scar tissue from previous procedures on my outcome, but he knew that scar tissue was present prior to the procedure. “Skin will continue to tighten over six months.” Oh please. We’ve all heard that one.
Will my platysmal bands magically disappear, too? Please, just don’t do it. Get the surgery instead. Go to a surgeon who doesn’t promote ineffective, trendy, quick-fix alternatives and gimmicky procedures. Seriously, I had a PDO thread lift in the past from a beautiful Russian nurse who learned how to do thread lifts in the restroom at Newark International.
My result, albeit short-lived, was infinity times better than the MyEllevate result, and it cost me about $7500 less. I’ve learned the hard way. You don’t have to! Just say “no” to MyEllevate.
