Night before large breast reduction surgery

WORTH IT
I started wearing a bra when I was 8. Middle school and high school were a nightmare constantly being harassed about the size of my breasts. When I was 18 I had a consultation for a reduction and was strongly discouraged if I had plans to nurse any future babies. So I held off. I had twins at 25, born too soon at 25 weeks and pumped for 3 weeks. Not a drop of milk. I was devastated. 3 years later I was pregnant again and this time I made it to 28 weeks. I pumped for 2 weeks and I finally got drops! Drops turned to 5mls per pump. That’s all I produced every pump for 9 weeks.
With he lost pregnancy I went up 4 cup sizes and I started at a DDD. The weight and pain in my neck and shoulders never stops! My breasts hurt while wearing a bra and they hurt without one. We are absolutely done having children an I’d like to start to reclaim my body from illness and the toll of pregnancy.
I’m excited but nervous.
The doctor I’ve chosen was very kind and didn’t make me feel disgusting. I can’t wait to have this extra weight off my chest! I’m ready!! Look out! ????

Thank you so much! The surgery went fantastic. Though the doctor initially estimated it would take 2 hours and he’d be able to get 600-800ccs, it wound up being 4 hours and 1045ccs per breast! Even though I am not healed I’m so incredibly happy. I couldn’t imagine how positively the results would impact me! Thanks again! The support of others makes the nerves even less.

You're going to be so happy, I think. I too waited until after kids and I don't regret that. It's never too late to make this positive change. Good luck!

I am indescribably happy. I know once they heal they will be noting but amazing. Dr. Rieger is so patient and kind. Clearly also a miracle boob fixing master wizard. I’m so so so happy. I had 1045 ccs removed from each breast. A little sore and swollen but keeping up on pain meds so I feel fine. I did not require a nipple graft and I definitely can feel sensation returning. I get cold an ZING shot of ouchie. I’m sorry I even waited this long. If you are on the fence, do it. You will never regret it!

In my previous post I said he took 1045ccs out of each but my husband and I must have misheard him because at the appointment he told us he took 1700g out of the left and 1400g our of my right! Holy smokes! He said he had to go to bed early that night! Ha! It was such a big job he said his shoulder hurt! Haha he was so funny. This week we are on nipple watch! He was able to keep them attached and did not need to graft them but one was a bit darker than the other. So my focus is keeping my bras loose with minimal support to keep the circulation going strong! I got to shower today so I’ll post more pictures!! Thanks for any and all positivity being sent my way it means a lot!
