I am 3 days post ProFractional performed at a Dermatology Clinic in Niceville Florida by a Dermatologist. After having a face-lift 5 years ago and being extremely pleased with it I felt I needed a little help as I am going on a cruise in January. I have just turned 60. I have some liver spots and crusty areas. I want quick results. I also have some deep frown lines between the brow. I had a free consultation and decided to go for it. I had Restylane filler for the deep frown lines 1cc $500. Numbing cream was applied to my face and the procedure began after about 30 minutes. As soon as the procedure began I thought what have I done. It was quite torturous around the forehead but easier on the rest of my face...I should say bearable. After the procedure I was shocked by the redness which is more than a sunburn if I were describing it. My instructions were to do water and vinegar soaks then apply vaseline every 4 hours, more if necessary. The following day I continued to ooze and 24 hours post I began to itch so took Benedryl and pain killers. The following day my eyes were quite swollen and bruised from the Restylane so I applied cold cucumber slices which helped a lot. The itching continued and I realized that my vaseline was scented. I immediately obtained plain vaseline and am keeping it in the fridge along with my soak solution. I am 60 hours post and the itching has subsided. I am extremely red but feel more comfortable. I have to wait and see what the outcome will be but at this stage I don't feel like going for 2 more treatments as recommended. I don't know what the actual depth of my treatment was other than a light treatment on the forehead and medium on the cheeks. Naturally if my skin shows an improvement I shall say it has been worth it but I shall have to wait and see.
Almost 4 days post procedure. Still very red but...
