ALL DONE, YAY!! It wasn't that bad. The surgery took longer than expected, but everything went well. Doc said he took 2 1/2 pounds off. And for all of you that have back issues, my doctor said that in speaking with chiropractors, they tell him that for every pound you take off the front, it takes 10 pounds of pressure off your back. That's great news!! My pain meds are working, but it's not too bad really. Thanks to all of you for your thoughts and well wishes. It's very comforting to have so many in your corner. You are all inspirations. Now I'm sending all my good wishes to those whose surgeries are yet to come. Good luck to all of you. I will post pictures soon.

Here I am 8 days post op, sorry I haven't updated. I am doing very well. Got the majority of the stitches out Monday which was a piece of cake. My doc is old school I think because I still can't shower but I was allowed to take the bra off to wash it yesterday. My youngest daughter (18) wanted to see, so I showed her. Her reaction was worth any pain I've gone through thus far. I've been off the pain meds for a few days. Sleeping is my biggest complaint. Just like most of you, I am not a back sleeper. I will be glad when I can just move a little to the side, but I can't yet as the stitches that are remaining pull when I try. Other than that, I am doing great. I see the doc again in 5 days, but I can't go back to work for two more weeks after that. I think about all of you and your surgeries and I hope that you are all doing as great as I am. Good luck to those that have yet to cross over!! I will post before and after pics as soon as I can. Hugs to you all!!!

Well it's finally here. Tomorrow is the day. I'm getting so nervous. When I'm busy, it's ok but when I'm left to my own devices, I go crazy with fear. Thanks to all of your posts, they really are helpful. I'll update tomorrow!! See you on the other side.

Saw the PS tonight for my last visit before surgery. Everything's a GO!!! I am even more excited now, and I didn't think that was possible. I got all my questions answered and I am good to go. The next 7 days is going to drag! Thanks to all who commented, I appreciate the support.
