After months of stalking this website, I have finally made the choice to get a breast reduction done!
I have always had large breasts. They never bothered me until I started to lose weight (how backwards is that?) . I lost over 20 pounds but my breast size did not change. They stayed at the same size. Since my frame started to get smaller, my back couldn't take the weight anymore. The pain was just horrible. So I read the reviews for surgeons up here and found the one who is right for me. I did my consultation a few weeks ago. They took pictures of my breasts and I wrote a letter to my insurance company as well. I'm lucky because the approval came back within one week.
I just did my pre op appointment today. My surgery is in two weeks. I'm excited for this but also nervous. I will keep you all informed on my journey ????

Recliner maybe?

So I've been reading that sleep can be horrible after surgery. I'm considering getting a recliner for the first couple of days after surgery so that I can get some decent sleep. Has anyone ever done that? Does it sound crazy?

I was thinking the same thing but I read on a FB group that you can get some of those body/wedge pillows to help. I'm still thinking about getting a recliner though since most seem to like that the best.

Hi! I have read so many people that love the recliner too. I really think that's what I'm going to do.

Good luck to you girlie. I will bt 2 weeks post op tomorrow and I have NO regrets at all. experiencing some shooting kinda sorta pains which is to be expected, since the nerves are healing and such. And YES to the Recliner LoL I so wish I had bought one before my surgery. I spent several nights propped up on this loveseat and I am SOOO happy I can go back in my bed. I have seriously missed my bed and laying on my back and side. my butt's been numb from sleeping sitting up. keep us posted chiquita. We'll keep you in prayers

Thank you sooooo much ! My biggest thing was sleep since I sleep on my stomach. I really think I'm going to get a recliner this weekend. I saw some really cool prop up pillows that I like too that but we will see. Thanks again! :-)

I'm 17..I just got my breast reduction and I'm sleeping in the bed ..all I used was about 6-7 pillows on the first couple of days and now I'm down to 2. Sleeping now is amazing! Some times I have my nights were it seems I can't get comfortable but overall it's been good. Lol iguess I'm just the lucky one in the bunch

Hi! Yea you're definitely lucky! I'm hoping I can sleep with two pillows fairly soon after this surgery. I usually sleep on my stomach so this will be tough

My daughter had a breast reduction & the only time she could get comfortable at all was with the recliner. I'm going to have one too so I'm getting the recliner as well.

I can I believe that this is really happening. I'm so excited but I'm also scared to see what my new cell phone look like. I've had these boobs since I was a younger teenager. So it would be very weird to see my body after the surgery. But I am totally ready for this change
