45 Year Old with Deflated Saline Breast Implant - Newport News, VA

I am a 45-year-old woman who had breast implants placed after years of breastfeeding my children and was tired of having "empty pillowcases". I thought it would make me feel "normal" again, but from day 1 I was uncomfortable since the surgeon wouldn't listen to my opinion on what size, placement, etc I wanted. After 1 year one of my implants being placed I had a deflation and I had to go in for an implant replacement. In all honesty I wanted both removed for years since they sat high and were totally hard as rocks, but felt guilty since it wasn't a cheap procedure. I just dealt with the implants hoping one day I would get the courage to have them removed. Then~13 years later one of my implants deflated overnight and I knew it was time to get these things out. I went in to see a different surgeon who listened to me and did not push me into placing new implants. It has been 5 months since my implant removal and I feel so much more confident and proud of my body. Dr. Zwicklbauer, Blakely, nurses and staff were so fantastic to me and made me feel like I was the only patient in the world. I am truly grateful for everyone at Plastic Surgery Center of Hampton Roads-they are a true blessing!!!
