i did it!!!!!

Money constraints was the reason I waited so long for this procedure. Finally, at age 57 I was able to afford it and I'm so happy with what I see so far. Yes, I read many posts on REAL SELF - so I was not surprised at how uncomfortable I was going to be during the first week.
I prepared by making sure I had a care team present (my husband - my sister- my daughters) pre op. My team made sure, starting the day of surgery, I was up every 2 hours (all through the night also) so that I could walk and have my drains cleaned. I showed day 2 - drains came out day 6 and today - day 8 - I switched to Tylenol for discomfort.
I still itch, I still feel tight (ab tightening and stitches), I'm still very bruised, and still walking a little hunched. Overall, the experience has been as expected.
