This was my first treatment and let me tell you it is very painful in the Chest Area. Doctor's claim Virtually Pain-free Vanquish Treatments is complete BS. I realize that different areas of the body have different amounts of pain receptors, but the Chest is full of them, and it hurts like hell.I would rate it on a scale of 1-10 at least a 6, and this for a full hour. One thing of note that I haven't read anywhere is that the more water you drink to more effective the procedure is. Make sure you drink at least 33.8 ounces (1 Liter) of water before treatment. I have my second appt. on Friday and according to the PA it should be less painful... I somewhat skeptical but if it all works it sure beats getting an invasive procedure?.

The pain was very much real for me when I had the Vanquish treatments, for my abdomen area. The sides (flank) area, is very sensitive and the pain I felt, seemed like a "sparking" sensation on my skin and the skin gets VERY HOT. These were as a result of how close your body is to the surface head of the machine. The heat is intense at times, but I was told that the closer the machine is to your skin, the better the result is. Good luck with your treatments, I hope you get the results you are looking for.

Thank you, hopefully, it was all worth it. I'll post some pic later today. Vanquish is not indicated for Gynecomastia, and I think that it was a mistake. My right breast seems to have taken much more energy it looks almost deflated, whereas my left side seems to have much less of reaction. It looks weird maybe it takes more time

Not to be too personal, but hasnt your primary care physician not discussed with you, any hormone treatments? If I understand this condition correctly, your condition is the result of too much Estrogen being present in your body. Men and women can take a supplement called DIM, which keep the Estrogen levels in check and/or strips the estrogens if you take enough of it. This is at least what the PA at the med spa told me. Have a great day!

I'm on several Hormones therapies. Unfortunately, the full extent of the Gynecomastia has only become apparent since my back surgeries and the resulting 60 pounds of weight gain and my inability to work out properly. Without going into too much detail, I had bigger fish to fry than worrying about my chest; that was one of the last things my PCP and a whole slew of other Doctors were/are concerned about. I'm more than happy to give you more details but not publicly.

I understand. I was just concerned that you may have been "sold" the Vanquish treatments, as the "end all" cure. Many Med-spa's will sell this as a painless fix, but until they've performed treatments on a few hundered or more patients, they wont know what "all of the side affects" are. I was left with two hard knots on my right side, one larger that a golf ball and the other a ping pong ball. Now they're saying it's possibly scar tissue and not the "melted fat cells", that they've claimed they were, for the last 8 months.

I wish you much luck in what you are trying to achieve.

I have some of them too, massage them daily it has helped. Also I pretty much insisted on trying the Vanquish, so I cannot fault them.

Still very painful especially on the right ride, it almost feels like a bruised or broken rib. Taking Motrin.

Thank you for your review and your pics! I hope you will continue to update as your results progress - love to see the total transformation!

I'm curious, what prompted you to choose Vanquish over other treatments like Coolsculpting?

We planned on using CoolSculpting, but the applicators were just too small, even the new ones. Before my accident, I was working out a lot, and my chest never bothered me that much. At my heaviest at 267 pounds, I was getting sweat marks under my chest (well moobs) which it not attractive at all. I had Coolsculpting done on my lower abdomen couple ago and got some pretty good results. I have them on this website if you want to check. I try to eat right and drink lots of water and have dropped now 34 pounds in two months.

Very swollen so there is probably not a result to see but let me tell you, the second treatment was just as painful as the first!
