Why didn’t I do it sooner? It took me five...
Surgery day arrived and while I was scared, I was also excited. Finally I was taking a positive step to improve my appearance! The medications Dr. Sadati gave me knocked me out for the most part. I did not feel any pain at all. Next thing you know the surgery was over. My husband took me home and I began the healing process.
As Dr. Sadati explained, there are stages to healing. The first day, the first week, the first month… I can’t say the first day or week was fun, but he did paint a good picture of what to expect. My husband was a fabulous caretaker. He was very supportive and extremely helpful with the daily care of my incisions.
I went back to work 11 days after surgery (the Monday of Thanksgiving week). I wished I had just taken the all of Thanksgiving week off because my neck was immobile and I felt self-conscious, but nobody at work even seemed to notice anything funny. I was able to enjoy Thanksgiving weekend and even had 20 family members over on Saturday for dinner. They did most of the work, since I was not supposed to lift much of anything!
Now three months have passed. My lower facelift looks great! Gone are the jowls I was starting to develop. My neck lift was a total success! Age wise my neck now matches my new younger looking face! I no longer cringe when I see myself in the mirror. When I show people my incisions, they look but can’t even find them. I still have some numbness in my lower cheeks and jaw, but it gets better each day and I just know that it’s just a matter of time before the numbness goes away.
So, if you are thinking about plastic surgery, consider Dr. Sadati! He’s a great plastic surgeon and he operates without general anesthesia, so it's safer and you heal faster!

I interviewed three Newport Beach plastic surgeons and choose Dr. Kevin Sadati at the Gallery of Cosmetic Surgery. All three surgeons seemed qualified, but what stood out to me about Dr. Sadati was that he understood exactly what it would take to make me look the way I wanted to without too much plastic surgery. All three surgeons recommended both a lower facelift and a neck lift, but one surgeon also wanted to make a large incision in my neck to smooth out the area where I had had my thyroidectomy, plus he wanted to put in cheek implants. Another surgeon said he might need to do two surgeries in order to get my neck looking the way I wanted it to. Both those doctors would have put me under general anesthesia which is risky. Dr. Sadati conducted the surgery in his office under a safe local anesthetic, and only did what was what was necessary to make me look like myself, just better! So, if you are thinking about plastic surgery, consider Dr. Sadati! He’s a great plastic surgeon and he operates without general anesthesia, so it's safer and you heal faster!
