Feeling awesome! The loose skin is still loose and a bit saggy, but when I compare to my before, it's pretty amazing. I am comfortable in my own skin and rockin the body I have... Stretch marks and all...
I've made it back to the gym and running 2 days a week and my measurements & weight seem the same as before so I am ditching the scale and tape and doing something each day to celebrate my body. Some days I trail run while others I lie on the beach in a bikini, not giving AF if I'm loose here or there. I have learned a lot about my own perception of self and making progress on acceptance. My body love grows every day that I do to compare myself to others.
I listen to my husbands compliments and have become less shy about my scars. Next doctor visit in May, I'll update then! Thank you to all who have messaged me about their experience, strength and hope. Love ya friends!

9 1/2 weeks...
OK RS family, I need some encouragement or just plain honesty. As my swelling has gone down, I now am plagued with the return of loose skin. I want to cry, this is why I had surgery in the first place. I stepped in the scale for the first time post op and have gained almost 4 lbs! I am a vegan eater and don't add sugar or drink alcohol, my weight hasn't been a struggle so I'm shocked that I've gained after surgery, especially because I had a lot of loose skin removed AND lipo on both flanks & thighs. My clothing size has remained the same as pre-op, I just don't have to tuck my belly in to zip jeans.
Are my expectations too high?
Will time heal this flap? I mean, 1000'so of sit-ups didn't do it before, will it now?
Sigh....

I'll give you my honest thoughts: I think you look gorgous! Your breasts are amazing and you look great in jeans. However, you shouldn't have skin flap. :( Your PS did a great job in some areas but not with the skin. Talk with him. Maybe there was a reason why it happen. But in any case you look great!
Thank you for your loving words. I've been trying to stay positive, yet I find my eyes constantly go to the flap:(
I spent all of ny savings on this surgery and will be devastated if I have to start saving again for a repair surgery. I will keep my eyes high to my fantastic boobs! Haha!

Definitely keep your eye on them! I definitely understand about the savings! He should at least be willing to do a skin removal for free! You invested a lot and should have what you want!
Oops and by invested a lot I mean your time, energy, sanitysanity (PS is no joke) and that should not be overlooked. I have not had PS yet but I respect the process.
The emotional roller coaster side is a whole process in itself!

Progress not perfection
I took some time and made a collage of my progress photos and removed any nudies. Each day there is a little progress. I am learning patience and trusting the process of healing.

Hot momma! Look at the definition in your abs! Those jeans are smokin' hot with your flat belly. And it looks like you are all ready for bikini season. I'm happy for all of us who have made it through this journey thus far! We're going to have a fun summer! Here's to continued healing and health. Hugs my friend.
Hiya!! Fancy seeing you here! I'm at 7 weeks post op now too!! You look amazing!
