I had my first child at 21. My body bounced back to normal less than a year after giving birth. Five years later I gave birth to a set of twins. It took me three years to get back to normal but I did. Nice tone thin tummy, nice perky breasts. I suppose thats what happens in your twenties. Fast forward five more years and out comes my last child. She weighed the most, I gained the most weight with her and almost four years later I have lost weight but you couldn't tell as to where. My boobs I suppose. They were sad little puppies that lost their perk. My stomach looked like I was still 5-6 months pregnant. I was even asked not once but twice with in the last few years when I was due :/ I have been married to my husband for 15 years now and when it came to allowing him to see me naked, I was embarrassed. He tried his nest to lift my spirits up, always telling me I was beautiful but if you dont feel it, your attitude doesn't display it. So I started researching. Browsing plastic surgeons in our area. I had a few consults and decided to just do it. I choose the Dr. that listened to me and provided me with the best information that he could.
At the initial consult he went into detail stating what needed to be done and letting me know that no matter how much weight I would loose I would remain looking pregnant. Since the elasticity of my skin was shot and my muscles where as well. I was able to try on sizers for the implant I was after. Initially I chose 450cc Gummy Silicon. We also scheduled the surgery at this time. I scheduled my surgery almost a month after the consult due to the holidays and being involved in a wedding.
Pre Op App.
At the pre op, i again tried on implant sizers and this time chose 500cc High Profile. After weeks of looking at photos I had a distinct look I was attempting to achieve. I also had my blood drawn to be sure that I was well enough to even have the surgery. Which I was.
In the weeks in between the pre op and the surgery, I believe I psyched myself out and I became more scared than excited. More so about the tummy tuck than the breasts. I was fully excited about the boobs. I read and I read and I watched videos and it was the recovery that had me scared. Who has that much time to recover? You mean I cant pick up my baby for how long? But I still did it because I knew I wouldnt be happy with myself unless I did.
1/4/2016 - surgery day.
My husband and my youngest daughter took me to the surgery center. My youngest is a huge daddys girl. But the minute they called my name she was clinching my shirt screaming no mommy dont go stay with me. I bawled the entire way back with the nurse. Did she know something I didnt? Was I not going to make it through the surgery? These where thing racing through my head at that moment. I did get calmed down and the dr came in to make his markings, the IV went in and next thing I know Im awake and cant move. Not really in much pain however. Just uncomfortable. I did stay over night in the surgery center and the next two days in an after care facility. My choice. My husband did come visit with me. I never really did have much for pain. It was mostly being uncomfortable. And forget walking (though it is super important to do so) your back KILLS you. Buy a walker, it helps to place your weight and less to your back from hunching over.
1st Post Op Appt. -
The bandages where removed from my breasts and replaced with a sports bra. I suggest ones that zip or have clasps in the front so its easy to get on and off. You may need to buy a few different sizes my initial one was way too tight. You can find them at walmart for around $9. My Dr also instructed me to take a shower that day. Do not attempt this alone. You will need help. Be prepared to cough. It hurts like no other pain you have ever felt in your life. I would cry. You will go through tons of emotions. Why did I do this to myself. Would have should have could have. Have faith. It gets better each day that passes. I promise you.
2nd Post Op Appt. 2wks after surgery
I was not able to stand straight or walk well at this time. I needed assistance still. Some are able to, I was not. At this appointment my drains where removed. THANK GOD! I was instructed to not do much for the next week so that my body could learn to absorb the excess fluids. I was also instructed to start massaging my breasts. Which Im not sure why they call it massaging. Its more like squeezing. Up, down and side to side.
3rd Post Op Appt. 3wks after surgery
All remaining bandages where removed. From my aureolas as well as my tummy and belly button. By this time I was able to stand up straight. I still walked like a snail but better safe than sorry. I was instructed to start a scar cream which I purchased directly from them. It was $130 and silicon based. I apply this twice a day. I am now able to raise my hands above my head and driving privileges have returned!
4 weeks Post op
I can now shower by my self. I dont need assistance however I cant fully bend down to shave my legs but really who cares about the forest that is growing everywhere LOL. I feel normal starting to return and well that feels great! As time goes on and with each passing day, I feel better. I can do something I have been longing to do. I spent three weeks on my reclining sofa. I slept in my bed for the first time last weekend. It was amazing. I slept on my side last night. It was even more amazing. Normal is returning. I went shopping today for the first time in over a month! Over all I am happy with the process and slowly see progress with my results.

Five Weeks Post Op
amazngrceFebruary 9, 2016
Today marks my fifth week post op. I was able to travel from California to Florida with no troubles this past weekend for a business trip. I do still get stiff after allot of walking, and I have some things going on with my TT incision line and belly button but I have an appointment next week so unless something drastically changes in looks I will be patient and bring it up at my appointment. I feel as though my implants have fallen to where need be and are soft. My nipples are tender and do hurt at times. I've found that if you buy the silicon nipple covers it tends to help with rubbing against your sports bra. Im attaching some photos of the past weeks progress :) I will update again next week!
