A Life Changing Facelift! - Newport Beach, CA

I am over the moon and out of my mind with joy thanks to my amazing facelift by Dr. Boris Ackerman! I am filled with happiness every time I look in the mirror. For the first time, in a long time, I feel comfortable wearing my hair up and proudly showing off my face, rather than hiding behind it. I’ve completely cut back on my daily makeup routine, and stopped wearing eye makeup every day. I feel natural and free!
Unless I tell people, no one thinks or knows that I’ve had a facelift. They just comment that I look “really good”. I’m 65 years old, and most people think that I’m in my 50’s. Someone recently said that I “don’t look a day over 50.” I’m finally back to receiving the same kind of attention, looks, smiles, etc. that I always used to get. I feel like I’ve gone back in time! For those who do know, I've received several compliments and praises, including that it's "the best facelift they've ever seen!"
The entire facelift procedure was completely manageable, and the hotels I stayed in, the Radisson Costa Mesa, and later the Newport Channel Inn, were great. After just a short while, I could walk around Fashion Island, which was pleasant and fun! The entire experience was a nice time-out.
Dr. Ackerman’s prices were very reasonable. If I hadn’t had the facelift, in about 6 years I would have ended up spending the same amount of money on Botox and fillers, and seen little improvement. Economically, it made more sense to have my face lifted.
The office staff was also terrific. Maria, the Surgical Coordinator was warm and welcoming, which immediately put my nerves at ease. She was available to answer any and all of my questions, suggested I meet with former patients, etc. Whatever I needed she was there to provide it.
I live in Santa Monica, CA. So, I assumed I could find someone nearby, on the Westside of LA. However, Dr. Ackerman’s office was so much friendlier, warmer, and overall more comfortable than any of the Westside offices I visited. That, combined with the wonderful before and after photos I saw of his past work, led me to make the decision to travel from Santa Monica to Newport Beach to have my procedure done. I am SO glad that I did!
At the end of the day, the main thing that matters is your surgeon’s skills and the end result. With that being said, a facelift is a MAJOR procedure and you want to feel very comfortable with your surgeon, the office staff and the recovery process. At the final pre-surgical visit, the staff re-assured me not worry, being scared is a normal part of the process, but that it would be worth it and I’d be satisfied with the end result. They were right!

Yikes that's almost $20,000 on a facelift? Is that all you had done? That seems like a lot of money.

It would be great if you could give us a little more detail about your experience, like why you had the surgery, your tips for getting good results, pros/cons, and info on the recovery process.
Our community members especially love seeing photos from before, during, and after — a realistic look at what they can expect. Photos grab the attention of the community and encourage more support for you.
