44 Year Old Under Eye Hollows and Facial Volume Loss

My results are very subtle. Still trying to decide if that is a positive or a negative thing. Most of the reviews here complain of overfilling or having lost your innate facial features. I am lucky I am not one of them, I did get what I mostly wanted, to get rid of the under eye bags, but I was expecting the marionette lines to disappear as well, and they didn't. I am disappointed and can't quite tell if there was a misunderstanding between me an the doctor. Overall I like it, I am just hoping I do not lose most of the fat, as I was not overfilled at all. It has been almost 7 weeks. I only have pictures up to the third week... I will post again soon.

You look great. How much time do you have since surgery? If you dont mind me asking?, hiw much was it dor filling the hollows?
My focus was the under eyes, but I got volume on cheeks and the entire jawline and temples. It was $6000 total.
You look very Nice! I see great improvement and best of all VERY NATURAL!
Thank you. When I researched my doctor, that was what impressed me the most out of so many pictures he had, that they just looked so natural!
are you having a hard time trying to smile after the procedure? I am interested in getting a fat transfer as the results look so natural and your review is inspiring me I gotta say lol
There is a certain tightness in your entire face. There was mild pain when smiling or chewing. You feel like you shouldn't really smile anyway, as it does feel like major surgery even though it is not considered one. Doctors also seem to disagree on whether smiling or any other gesticulating affects the healing and ultimate result, but after 10 days or so it feels more normal to move your face naturally.

The key to a good result is finding a good and reputable plastic surgeon. No bargaining for the best price. There an artistic element to this procedure, so do look many and many (not just one or two) patience of your doctor who have gotten the same procedure, how long the doctor has performed fat transferring, etc. Good luck!

Omg you look so cute
If it doesn't work out, I'd suggest getting a small lift of some kind with more fat transfer
Thank you!
You look fantastic! Where did they take the fat from? Were you awake during the fat removal, or did they put you under? If you were not under, was it painful? My doctor said he could do it either way.
The fat was taken from lower back fat. That area was under local anesthesia, and I was sedated, so like in a very heavy sleep. It wasn't painful, as I do not remember a thing. I do understand doctors have different approaches. My sister had it while awake with local anesthesia from the donor site. Hope that helps.
Was it her fat or was it from a donor? Sorry don't understand
her own body - you can't have a donor - must be from your own body
