8 Months Post-Op From Upper Bleph Performed April 2015

WORTH IT$3,200
My eyes have completely settled. It's been quite the journey with my right eye from not closing after surgery to having a hypertrophic scar that still hasn't flattened. I am still pleased with the results even though I had to do a lot of post-op stretching and pulling to get my eyelid to relax and close on it's on. I'm using Bio-Corneium scar cream which is supposed to be the best medical grade topical silicon on the market to try and flatten the scar. I've had 3 steroid injections which is the limit unless I want the tissue underneath to separate which I don't, and I don't want a scar revision surgery in fear that my eyelid won't close again. All in all, it's been a journey with lots of lessons learned. If I had one piece of advice, it would be "NOT" to go to a regular Plastic Surgeon but to an Eye Surgeon that has special training in Occouplastics (spelling) surgery.

You look beautiful! I think your results are great! I had ptosis repair and a blepharoplasty done in October and my left eye is having issues. It doesn't close all the way and I have a thick rope of scar tissue above my incision line which causes a fold over my incision. I hope it goes away with time. I went to amy oculoplastic surgeon who is very well known in his field and I'm still have issues. Hopefully everything turns out ok.
Hi there, I had a fold over flap of skin over on my right ptosis eye as well. I had my PS remove it on my 2wk post-op appt. I talked about it above in one of my comments. I didn't have a scar but that revision, the hypotrophic scar formed. It was much larger and prominent, but I started using the silicon tape by Mepitac, I would cut it to the size and length of my scar and place it on at night, the silicon is on the sticky side so if you use it, don't use any creams that would interfere with the silicon, bare clean skin is best. Then I use the Bio-Corneium in the morning. You will have to take matters into your own hands, stretch and pull your eye down three times a day, count to 100 while holding it down, I guarantee that the skin will stretch and it will eventually close.
Thank your for your review. I also have ptosis and am very sensitive and hyper critical. I wanted to tell you that I didn't notice it on you until you pointed it out. The work was done impeccably! I will be getting mine done in the next year and need to go to a specialist if I have any hope of evenness....which is my ultimate goal. So Dr. Sadati is in my area and now on my list
Take care!

I wanted to post some side by side photos of my results. I'm loving my new look and I absolutely think I look 10yrs younger! A lot of people ask me if I would do it again and the answer is always yes. I'm so happy with my eyes now and my vision is so much better.

You're a truly beautiful woman. I can't imagine that you might think you need additional work done. We are all our own worst critics, but I think you look about perfect.
Awww thank you so much! I'll see how the right eye looks after s year, maybe it will stay as is or continue to close. I have PTOSIS and the muscle in that eye pulls the eyelid down somewhat. So I will wait a year and hopefully it will stay the same

I just can't get over how amazing you look!

Awww thanks so much Jill... that means a lot coming from you!!
Awesome results!
It makes you look 15-20 years younger. WOW
Agree
Wow, thanks so much for the compliments! I'm loving my eyes more and more each day!

10 Weeks Post-op

I'm feeling wonderful but still have some sensitivity in my left eye if i rub it too hard. All the feeling has came back into my eyes so no more numbing, now I can feel myself putting on mascara. I'm using the Mepitac silicone tape over my scars at night, this is to help keep them flat and keep the scar tissue from thickening. I'll probably be doing this for 6mos. I still thinking about having the Ptosis repair in my right eye. I just don't like the unevenness of them even though people say they can hardly tell.... I think they're just being nice.... okay to be continued.

Thanks for checking my updates. You really look great. My bruising was really terrible too. What made it worse was that I had to go to work and also conduct interviews so I just had to say what the heck and deal with it. I am really pleased with my improvements but I will need some additional skin removed on my uppers. It seems like your correction was easy so that gives me hope.
Hi, thanks for the compliments! Before you have additional skin removed, I would wait three months. I had a skin fold (loose skin) on my right eye, he removed it two weeks out and now after the lid healed, the skin tightened and the scar became raised. Now my right eyelid isn't closing all the way. I'm having to do these pulling and holding exercises to stretch the skin. I have to tape it closed at night or else it'll become dry and burn. If we had just waited a couple of months, I bet the loose skin would've tightened up on it's own. It has really improved and the skin has stretched someone, but the scar is still there.
