Thanks to good genes, I've always looked 10 yrs younger than my real age. Still, at 66 yrs, there was some loose skin around my mouth and neck area. I never thought I would ever be bothered by the signs of aging, but I didn't like it. Do you?
I don't know how you are 'supposed' to feel at 66. I do know that I feel great; I'm a healthy, attractive, socially active, married woman. AND most importantly, science has come a long way, today we have options! If God wanted us to look droopy, he wouldn't have given us Dr. Lee and his skillful hands!
I had the surgery to lift cheeks and chin. Slept through the whole procedure even without anesthesia!
(Secret: I had minimal sleep the night before, so I was already sleepy. I recommend doing this ). Some pain the next couple of days, but nothing unbearable. I took pain pills the day of the surgery, and twice the following day. After that, Tylenol at bedtime because the head wrap was uncomfortable during sleep. Did not go out the first week because of the swelling, except for my follow-up visit with Dr. Lee. After that, I was out and about. but I did not visit with friends or family until the following week because of the swelling. (I hadn't told ANYONE that I was having the procedure done.)
I had told Dr. Lee, that I wanted a natural look; nothing extreme. I was not trying to look 40 again, and I didn't want people to whisper: "Oh, she had 'work done'"! And natural is what exactly what I got! I received comments like: "hey, you look good"! "Rested". Why confess?
Aging gracefully ? Absolutely! Thrilled that I had it done! Thank you Dr. Lee. It was an amazing experience.

I am same age as you and do feel I am wearing well apart form my lower face which is forming a family trait from my mothers side of a double chin, sagging jowls and a sad looking face. I'm wondering if gravity will continue after procedure and how long to expect the results. Please tel me more about your experience and about Dr Lee as I need to get lots of confidence. I am also considering a very highly recommend surgeon in the UK as I spent time there with family, but he has a waiting list of over a year and I'm not sure I want to wait that long watching g the neck sag!

how long did it take before all of the swelling went down? I work in an office and want to know how much time off I should reasonably expect. thanks

Can you share your before and after photos? Can you tell us how much the cost of your procedure was?
Fabulous! Thanks so much for sharing on RealSelf! Do you have any residual tightness or numbness, or has that all gone away?
Ohh, the chin lift/implant combo can be so lovely. Congrats!
