WORTH IT
I have always had large breasts since age 11. I am highly active; Crossfit, spin, swim, hike and run. I am a fit, petite girl. As a teen, I wanted a BR due to my activity level & teasing, saw a surgeon then, but it wasn't the right time, I wasn't done growing yet - he suggested I wait. I waited and grew to like my boobs and felt blessed to be have them.
In my late thirties I began to notice a heaviness, began to have a lot difficulty with clothing and minor back pain. I was envious of my friends who had implants because their breasts were perfectly in proportion & chosen to fit their body frames, while mine just continued to grow and grow and feel enormous. I felt like I had a huge rectangle on my chest, and felt like I looked larger than I really was because I had to wear larger sized clothes to fit my chest size. I was spending a fortune on bras to lift me. I thought about a BR, but never took action until now.
I met with 5 surgeons in the process. I felt that I needed to meet with a few to formulate my choice & find the right surgeon for my goal. I wanted my boobs to be lifted, keep fullness & some size, but in proportion to my body frame, I did not want a boxy end result like some of the photos seen online.
Dr. Ambe was the first ps I met with, and little did I know at the time, but he was my surgeon. My gyo recommended him.The consult was great. He went over the procedure & said he felt I would have a beautiful result. Then over the course of a few weeks, I consulted with other ps's, who all had different things to say.
One said he'd do the lollipop, another wanted to remove all my breast tissue and add implants, yet another wanted to do procedures I wasn't even interested in nor did I ask for. As you can imagine, this made it confusing and it was hard to know what was right. In the end, I found that my final choice was who was honest with me & who I trusted the most. His top priority was my health, my goals & comfort.. Always. This helped me choose him over all the others.
As I narrowed it down, I clarified a few last questions with Dr. Ambe. He gave me the answers I needed. I looked at his photos, and what they all had in common was that the nipples were perfectly placed & the shape was excellent for each woman's body frame. I slept on it, called the coordinator back to schedule it. I knew after what he said, that he was the right one for me. I loved how specific he was about the bra to wear after surgery, and that it's not a compression bra. No other ps was specific about this, and after having real boobs my whole life, I know how important a bra is. My biggest fear was that I would end up with boxy breasts, and his pre & post op protocol & high attention to detail an explanation, helped ease my fear that I wouldn't have that result.
Dr. Ambe is top notch. He has a gentle bedside manner and is a true genius in his profession. I was really afraid to have this procedure, he was firm yet helpful in his approach and it actually helped me to make my decision to finally do this.
My results are amazing and everything I hoped for, and more!, The shape is beautiful, round, high & tight, full, but much smaller and in proportion to my body frame. I am now a 32DD/D and they look INCREDIBLE ! I have my high school boobs back!! After surgery, everything he said all came full circle, I now understand why other methods would not be optimal for me. This further solidified that he is the very best.
If you are looking for an excellent aesthetic surgeon, that does a breast reduction right, look no further and book a consult with Dr.Ambe- he is truly amazing!!!

You look great! What type of bra did your doctor suggest you wear after surgery?

Thank you! He insisted on the VS knockout front close underwire sports bra . I believe that helped tremendously with the final result.

I wanted to add photos of my result. I was so worried about the scars and I know other ladies are too. The scars have healed well. I feel my results have out weighed any concern of visible scars.
I wanted to share my pics with others considering the surgery. For me it was worth it !!
