Hello All,

I wanted to share my journey with all the Realself users as you all have helped/guided me through the breast implants journey by sharing your experiences. I really appreciate it because it comforts me when I'm in pain and it uplifts me when I see how amazing your results turned out. All you ladies are so strong.

Right now I'm on day two post-op and I am in pain. I think it's normal to be in pain the second day; It's unbearable. I find myself questioning why did I do this in the first place. I unwrapped my bandages and I saw them for the first time. I'm not going to lie, I was scared.

Before my breast augmentation, I was a 32B and I didn't completely fill up the bra. Like many of you, I would wear extra extra push up bras. I dreaded bra shopping because I didn't like my boobs. I was extremely self conscious. I have an hour glass shape, but I was missing the boobs.

Girl you look great so far in your post op bra! I was scared when I took my bandages off too. Mine look SO weird without the bra. It freaked me out. I can't wait for them to drop and fluff. I had so much sag before (but not enough for a lift) so I feel like I have so much boob up too then my natural boob is smaller at bottom. It's strange. But I keep looking at other recoveries on here to see the progress does get better bc that's honestly the only thing getting me through this. Sleeping on my back is awful. Travel pillow helps but I love sleeping on my side. The size you got looks like it'll be perfect for you!

Thank you so much! Your words of encouragements is very helpful through this tough time <3. I was the same way when I removed my bandages. I hope when mine drops I will look normal. I know I dislike sleeping on my back because when I have to get up, it's so painful. Thank you! 415 cc was the max I could go because I'm really petite. My surgeon says the reason why I'm in pain because I went the max. :'(

You're so welcome and I'm glad it helps. This has helped me so much. Taking to my husband and friends is totally different than talking to people who are going through this with me. It's so comforting. I went 520 cc bc I had that sag but I think that was my max bc my skin was so loose before and I've not been this tight ever. I find it more comfortable to sit up. Like when I lean back at a slight angle to sleep it's like so much weight it hurts so bad!

I totally agree with you!!! I talked to my friend that got hers done before, but she doesn't remember much since it was a long time ago, are you sleeping at a 45 degree angle? So your skin is feeling really tight huh? Does it look like the implants going to pop out of your skin? Mine does. I've been watching YouTube videos of girls recoveries and they said it was effortless

Nothing effortless over here. I mean I'm sure this is better than what it was 10 years ago. But I'm sleeping at a 45 degree angle (I think, I'm propping myself up) my skin is so freaking tight it's unreal. And definitely looks like my implants are going to pop out my skin. Lol. Even with my extra numbing injection I'm kind of a baby. I thought I had a high pain tolerance. But having to not do anything all you can do is think about it. I try to read, watch movies, shop, but it's still there

Omg!! You're experiencing the same thing as me!!! I told my boyfriend "it looks like it's going to pop out!" Can't believe how resilient our skin is!! I thought I had a high pain tolerance as well. The only time I had surgery was when i removed all for of my widsom teeth, but as soon as the anesthesia wore of I cried lol. So maybe I don't have high pain tolerance after all. I'm a baby too. :'( all I can do to get through the pain is to sleep. Watch when it drops and fluffs we will be happier. Are you able to eat?

I ate light the first today, yesterday I wasn't hungry much but today I was nauseas so I only have eaten some toast so far. I just tried to bathe today. Husband had to help significantly. It was sad. I can't roll my shoulders back. And swear my boob felt like it was going to fall through my incision by the end of it all. I was so happy to get the compression bra back on! I'm so ready to feel somewhat normal again. I guess I thought I would by now. But it IS getting better. Day by day. How are you today?

I'm doing slightly better today. I threw up a little. Have you thrown up? I seem to throw up after eat. You can bathe?? I can't do that as of yet. Only shower. You're still having to get used to them huh? Take it very easy okay. How do you sleep? Do you find yourself waking up constantly?

Sorry I'm late on these replys. It doesn't always show me exactly what my notifications are! I was only suppose to shower but could not. We have a huge soaker tub so we filled the water a little and washed where w could. I showered alone for the first time today and it felt amazing. But yesterday, standing up made my implants feel like they were going to fall out my incision.

Hey ladies! I'm in the same boat. I had my surgery on Friday the 26th and hoped to be back to work today. I ended up calling in as I didn't feel ready. I "showered" for the first time last night. It consisted of me standing in the water while removing my compression band from my incisions. Ouch! I did the armpit incision, so the band was literally attached to my incisions and was giving me a lot of pain. Now that they're freed, I have been able to move my arms a lot more. All I can seem to think about is that I'll have to go through all this again in 20ish years. Demotivating for sure. :( Have either of you started massaging yet?

Wow!! Congratulations btw!! How do you feel with you new additions??? You should really take it easy! I'm taking ten days off just to be on the safe side. That's what I did too when I showered! I just stood there having the warm water hit me and I used cetaphil antibacterial face/body bar. I haven't seen my Doctor yet, but I'll let you know if I got the okay to massage. I'm having trouble going #2. Are you experiencing that? How do you feel now? How's your pain level? Are you walking around frequently? I'm here for you!

Thank you, you too!! I used smooth move tea and didn't have any problems going #2. I went yesterday and today. Yay lol I took a hydro a little bit ago so I feel good for now but when I don't, I feel all the nerve endings burning and trying to come back. Pain level is about a 3. I've been walking a bit but should probably do more. Hbu?!

Hey ladies!!!!! Hope y'all are doing great it's recovery!!! Today's been the best day for me so far. I feel almost back to normal and only on OTC pain meds. However, I have not had a BM. I'm taking stool softener too... I look about 6 months prego. I'm about to drive to get my hair done so we will see. How are y'all loving your new girls??? I'm in love but gah I wish they would drop. They are really big and up in my chin!

Wow that's great to hear!!! I have to walk more. I find myself laying in bed which is not good. Pain has subsided, it really is just the pressure that remains.

I have yet to start massaging. I went to post op and they told me we would start next week! Although I find myself naturally doing it just to make them less tense if they are. How are you? Have you been back to work yet?

I went to Dr K as well! Just did a mini tummy tuck and breast aug with him on 5/17. I was in the same boat as you...took my bandage off and was a little freaked out. But, they are settling and looking more and more like what I want them to look like each day. I have heard it takes up to 6 months to really settle and "fluff" to the natural look. I think Dr is the best and really knows what he is doing, so I am trusting him and hoping for the best outcome. Best of luck to you!

Thank you for sharing your experience! That means a lot to me! I'm glad they're settling in!! Did you go through stages of doubts? How did you handle your recovery?

Dr. Kelishadi is the best and he truly cares for all his patients. He is honest and trustworthy. His staff are one of a kind; they are amazing. Very fortunate to have found a doctor who patient and gentle. We are blessed. Best of luck to you as well and a quick recovery!

Oh gosh yes. I'm still nervous since they're still high and hard, but I've been assured so many times that it won't last long. Dr K has had to remind me to be patient many times! Haha

And you're definitely right about him and his staff. I didn't even meet with any other drs after having my consult with him.
