So I thought I would show the side view difference of before and after. The major difference being the top volume. I definitely don't feel like I have boobs coming up to my neck anymore. And I am glad that I had the lift before. (When I had the implants put in). You can see some redness from wearing the sports bra all the time. :-)

Smart move while your young and thin. I wish I had never done it 25 years ago. Now I need removed , major cc and definitely a lift. Just turned 60 and well having all those years I am going to have to have removal old implants, lift and replacement. The pain is horrifying me and my age and other health issues. No one ever told me anything about implants all those years ago and never knew risks. Mine were recalled years ago but I didn't do anything out of fear.

For my own comfort I decided to remove the implants after 6 years. I had had a mommy makeover including a breast lift with augmentation. The busty part just didn't seem like me. Procedure was quick in the office with local and a mild sedative. Minimal discomfort after easily controlled with Tylenol. So far I am quite pleased with the results.

You look amazing. Congrats on being on the other side!

Thanks, this was much easier than having the implants put in. I am very happy with this decision.

You look great! I'm thinking of ex planting my implants after only having them 22 months. Did your surgeon leave in or remove the capsule?
January 12, 2015
He left it in because I did not have any issues with leakage or contracture. He said if I was concerned we could take them out, but that generally they are fine to leave in, and to take them out would require general anesthesia.

That's awesome you got amazing results! Do you feel your breasts are the same, smaller or bigger breast size than you were pre implants? And thank you for sharing your story. Wishing you a speedy and healthy recovery.

Pre lift and augment they were a full C. But after 3 babies they were pretty droopy. With the implants a full D. Now I am probably a full B small C but it's pretty soon to know how they will settle. I think it will take some time for the muscles to adjust and for some swelling to go down. Thanks for the well wishes. I hope the info is helpful for those who are considering this option.

Thank you. I will add more pics and comments as time passes. I'm sure they are not "done" yet. I am happy to be all me again.

Thanks for sharing. Can you say what after care is ? Meds ? Did u remove capsule ? Why no drains ?
January 13, 2015
After care has been very simple, since there are no drains. Not all require drains. It was a quick simple procedure done in the office. The capsule was rinsed with antibiotic wash and sutured back up. Maybe it's important to note that I had not had any issues with my implants, I just was done with having to plan my clothes around them. As far as medication, I only needed a day of Tylenol for discomfort. I was offered Norco, but I really don't like pain meds (I get grouchy and sick to my stomach) and honestly it was not necessary. I have been wearing a sports bra 24 hrs and still have the paper tape on. I will go on Thursday for a recheck (1 week) and they will remove the tape and take the end stitch out. I have to say the area is a little itchy as I know it's healing, but I am very happy with the results and this decision. So far, no weird puckering or issues. I have been following orders of no lifting or exertion.
