How it works
  • Our highly-trained Review Moderation team evaluates all reviews before they're published to ensure they're written by people like you and not a member of a doctor's office.
  • This multi-step process takes up to 24 hours from review submission to publication.
  • Doctors can't pay to have reviews removed or hidden.
  • Reviews are only removed at the reviewer's request or if they violate our Terms of Service.

What I wanted: I was somewhat "underdeveloped" not just by size but also shape. I like to consider myself "sporty", I'd love to use the word athletic, but somehow feel that’s been taken over by the mudrunners of the world, I have not done a mud run.. yet. I didn't want anything fake looking at all! I wanted the "hm... she seems like her breasts are perfect, but probably too small to have been 'done'." Definitely did not want them to be the first thing you saw when I approached.

I had a consultation for breast augmentation and reconstruction surgery about a year previous to meeting Dr. Lawton in La Jolla with another "well reviewed" doctor. Although she seemed knowledgeable the environment and staff did not feel right. It was the opposite of what I wanted. It felt like they wanted to make me 5 sizes larger than I wanted and really pushed it. I couldn't get out of there fast enough and shelved the idea.

Now, fast forward a year or so. I had friend who had used Dr. Lawton. This friend seems to be on the conservative side (and very particular) like myself and after asking her about her experience (and seeing her topless) I decided to schedule a consultation for one more try.

The difference was immediately apparent. From my first encounter with the office staff, to my “Patient Care Coordinator”, Erin (more on her later), I immediately knew if I was going to do it, it would be here. Dr. Lawton came in and explained every single detail of the procedure and every single precaution, expectation and concern. … Every. Single. Detail. It was awesome.

Dr. Lawton is very calm, kind and patient. She very much weighs on the side of looking natural, so if that’s not your thing, may not be your place. She is an artist and focused. She really listens to what her patients want and weighs in with experience; it is so refreshing. Her specialty is reconstruction of breast cancer survivors so I knew I was in right hands to get myself close to what I dreamed. Oh, and they have one of those machines that can show you what you would like after! This is 2017, why does not every office have these?? It was awesome.

Now Erin, I probably spent the most time with her. I never felt rushed as I tried to decide between the differences of 2 tablespoons worth of implant. She was so helpful and gave input. She instantly makes you feel at ease, as you stand there topless discussing options. The rest of the office staff is just as genuine and kind and I never felt bad for calling with questions… again and again.

Long story short, if you’re still with me, I couldn’t be happier with my results! It’s literally like Christmas morning every day that I wake up. I honestly didn’t think they could look this good from what she had to work with, which is why I say Dr. Lawton is an artist. If you’re on the fence, this is the doctor for you. I don’t feel like a “fake version” of myself, I feel like a “better version”… how corny is that? But that’s literally what I worried about… will I still be me? Yup, still me, just not embarrassed now if my shirt suddenly blows off in a crazy wind storm… in Southern California…it could happen.
