7 Weeks and Sitting Pretty

BoobieTIME
WORTH IT$6,900
Hi everyone, sorry for not updating much...it's been a busy month and I've been just enjoying a more stress-free life as far as my boobies go :) They really started to feel softer, more flexible, and totally pain free at 5 weeks, and it's been awesome ever since. They did shrink after all the swelling went down, and I have moments of wishing they were a tad bigger...but those moments last for only a minute and then I'm over it, and totally content with my size. I really didn't want to have to be tucking away my boobs to try and conceal my boob job--and that's what I got. A modest size that looks natural :) Many of my friends tell me I chose a great small, perky, proportionate size....and I agree. I am hoping for a little more lower pole, where my nipples look positioned higher on my breast, but for now, that's a minor issue and I know they will still change. Overall, I'm really happy with the outcome! :)

I just wanted to say I found your review to be really helpful! We have similar pre-op stats and I think some girls just decide to go to big because they are tall...I hope everything is still going well for you and you're happy with your results:)

Two weeks & two days post op, Feeling Up and Down

BoobieTIME
Hi ladies, so up till two days ago, I was feeling fairly happy with my new boobies. I was anxious about them settling but overall happy with how they looked in clothes and bathing suits. But then I layed on my side two days ago for 15 minutes, and when I stood up, I felt like I had pushed/moved my implant toward the center of my chest (the one that was against the bed). It started swelling up and is still a half size bigger than the other boob, and hard and sore...? Any one else experience something like this!?--moving or shifting your implant out of place?? Stressing my out, so worried about capsular contracture! Especially because I have this tight swollen boob that feels like it's flexing or being squeezed by my body. Please help! Anyone else feel this or go through this?? I'm just hoping that the swelling will go down and they'll settle and all will be ok. So hard to be patient when it's your body that you're taking chances with :(

I didn't feel the displacement but I did feel like they were like Falling off my Chest when I had no type of bra or support on. Let me tell you that one of the worst parts of recovery for me was my own paranoia! I literally lived in fear that I would have/get capsular contracture! I drove myself crazy and starting "seeing" capsular contracture in one of my boobs but rly it was just my damn head making it up! I'm 2months out myself and I know there's still a possibility it can happen but that's okay. All you can do is Just follow ur surgeons directions, massage if told Bc that helps. You can't change how your body will accept the implants. Try to look at them less often as they drop. That helped me a lot
June 8, 2014
Thank you! I'm sure my own paranoia is causing a lot of my concern. So hard when you see reviews where people are getting revisions at 6 months-1 year later! Thank you for your encouragement though...your results look nice and balanced, and the right size :)

Right, but as long as you follow your surgeons instructions what happens from there is out of your control. Which sucks but it's a risk we take to look good heeeehee. Thankss I want to go bigger but don't wanna look top heavy

I like your size is already great and really appropriate...plus they still have more changing to do and you may like them more and more in the next year. I say stick with what you got, but I like more dainty pretty boobs myself :)

Just relax. Massage and they will soften. Push them in whatever position you want them to be and that Will help. I avoided many things for up to 6 wks because of paranoia like its424am said

Hi! Yes, I need to relax :)...but as far as moving mine around, I don't think I can do that with textured implants..? Mine are meant to heal and stay in the place that the PS put them, I'm pretty sure. Which is why I got so bummed that I shifted one...time will tell I guess.

Oh yeA. I forgot you had textured. Just sleep on your back for a awhile
June 11, 2014
Hey sorry if I missed it but what brand did you get and shaped or round?
June 11, 2014
I've always been thinking about shape....why does it have to be so completely round....? I would like to replace mine with shaped ones...
June 11, 2014
I went with round...my nursing boobs were really round and full so I wanted to get as close to that looks as possible :)
June 11, 2014
I think it's personal preference and lifestyle that determines that. For me with surfing and the risk of my implants shifting at all from my muscles pulling on them, I didn't want a shaped implant that might rotate and look really off. If a round one rotates, it's not as noticeable.

I think you are looking for trouble. I am sorry to be so harsh on you but you should do research before putting you body into that serious surgery again doing whatever you think is good. I am not an expert but I read about implants. I suggest you do the same. You wrote you had silicone anyway, is it incorrect?
July 13, 2014
Of course, I did research...Yes, silicone was my choice and I'm happy with my choice.
July 13, 2014
thank all of you for your input. It was very valuable. Vannatoo, you are not being harsh on me, but you must give me a little credit: I have researched this thoroughly, even before I had my first surgery, and I continue to do so. The reason why I would go to this surgery again is because my implants are 15 years old, and they will need to be replaced after such a long time. I have pre-filled saline right now. Just curious: have you gone through this surgery yourself? I also found some excellent information at the Mayo Clinic site http://www.mayoclinic.org/healthy-living/womens-health/in-depth/breast-implants/art-20045957
July 13, 2014
The shaped ones do not rotate after 3 weeks. The tissue adheres to the texture and the implants stay put. Its the first few weeks when you have a 5% chance of shifting the implant. So if you surf 6 months later they will not move. I think there are some misconceptions about the shaped implants. They for sure are not for everyone. I think they can look funny on some people and so can the round ones.
June 13, 2014
Hi. Sorry you are feeling like you shifted one of your implants!! I can imagine that is very stressful. What does your surgeon say about it? To me it looks like your surgeon placed them a little high and plans for them to drop? So maybe the one that "shifted" has just dropped a little more quickly? I just don't know if surgeons do this with textured. Mine were pretty much placed right where they will (hopefully) stay... although the shape has changed/improved quite a bit from the beginning to now and still should soften a little more. Every surgeon uses different techniques so I think you should just ask loads of questions and have her explain her reasoning for everything. I think the size looks great and they will even out after a little more healing.
July 4, 2014
They should still drop quite a bit. I had a full lift and implant performed by the same doctor and mine were high and and kind of peanut shaped for about the first two weeks. I am now a year post op and they have dropped perfectly.
