I've test run the look I want with injectable fillers and I'm certain I want implants. I plan to get the surgery within the next 6 weeks. I've consulted with two doctors, one in Orange County and one in Los Angeles, and their prices are fairly comparable.
Cosmetic goals (chin):
-More anterior projection
-Maintain a slim V-line appearance from the front. This is ultra important. I don't want the implant to make my chin look wide, bulky, or masculine.
-Avoid increasing the downward length of my face
-Reduce slight lumpiness and loose skin in the lower third of my face
-Overall, a more refined, chiseled appearance. I'd like my chin to look shapely, feminine, and defined.
Cosmetic goals (cheek):
-More volume and definition, especially in the anterior direction
-A younger, fuller, and more contoured three-quarter view
-I'm also hoping for a minor lifting effect on my nasolabial folds, which I've seen in some before/afters
I've decided on...
-Silicone over medpor implants in case I ever need the implants removed or adjusted.
-Intraoral placement to avoid visible scarring.
I'm uncertain of...
-Chin implant size. Probably medium.
-Cheek implant type. I'm currently doing my homework on submalar vs. malar shell vs. combined submalar.
______
Price quotes:
Chin augmentation (procedure): $3000
Chin implant: $1500
Cheek augmentation (procedure): $4500
Cheek implants: $1960
With surgeon, facility, and anesthesiologist fees, I expect to pay $10,960.
The cost of dissolving my existing filler is $200 per vial of whatever enzyme they use to break down hyaluronic acid.

Surgery booked!
Procedure booked! I've got surgery to place the implants on the 29th.
The estimated operation time is 2 hours. I'm planning on 1-2 weeks of downtime after the surgery.
Blood work tomorrow, paperwork on Friday. Really excited and really pleased the office was so accommodating at getting this moving quickly.
Attaching inpo pics of the type of look I'm after.

Hi I am also debating on getting this surgery too since I Too. Tired of getting filler in my cheeks and think this will save money down the road . Would love to hear more on your experience and updates and before and after photos if possible .

Day of treatment
Day 0: 7 hours after chin and cheek surgery
Drooling: Constant. I can't feel my lips or close my mouth. A decent percentage of my soup falls straight on the table. Comedy hour af.
Foods: Soups, ice cream, juice. I'm able to crunch the soft chocolate bits in the ice cream with my molars with no pain.
Pain: I have a bottle of tramadol and have yet to reach for it. I'm icing my face frequently. They gave me two ice packs: a chin-strap one and one that goes across my eyes and hangs over my cheekbones.
I'd describe the sensation as a tight, sharp ache.
The compression socks are slightly annoying.
Face: Potato
