How it works
  • Our highly-trained Review Moderation team evaluates all reviews before they're published to ensure they're written by people like you and not a member of a doctor's office.
  • This multi-step process takes up to 24 hours from review submission to publication.
  • Doctors can't pay to have reviews removed or hidden.
  • Reviews are only removed at the reviewer's request or if they violate our Terms of Service.

If you have questions or believe we should re-evaluate a published review, let us know.

Pics: Day 10

Day 11: I can close my mouth!

Big news, I started being able to close my mouth again as of yesterday. It gives me a tight feeling and looks pretty unnatural in the mirror, but it's getting better each day. I'm much better at eating. Plosives are still difficult and I have some trouble talking.
My smile appears stretched and forced. My muscles twitch when I try to hold it. However, today's facial movement is noticeably better than yesterday's.
It's tough to tell what the final look will be, but I wish my cheekbones were higher. I'm satisfied with their prominence, but I wish the apices were higher on my face and closer to my eyes. Hopefully they'll look higher once the swelling goes down.
Going outside: I'm still swollen and less cute than baseline, but I look normal enough to go to the gym (during off-hours) and grocery store (with self-checkout). I'm avoiding face-to-face contact until day 14.

Pics: Days 0-1

Pics of me early in the healing process. I'm not yet at peak swelling, which happened around day 3-4 and made me look like femme Rober Z'dar.
