Breast Lift (Masoplasty) 23y/o 5ft Tall

Its been a few months since my revision and things have healed well. I ordered some "lolipop" scar sheets (very convenient because I'm lazy and hated putting on the scar gel) off of Well.ca
May do one more update in a few months once the scarring is further along.

I was 16 years old when I reached a size 32DD, and the fast growth along with loose skin cause my breasts to be stretched and droopy. There wasn't a stage during development that I was happy- I was determined to feel confident in my skin. At age 19 I set out researching the best plastic surgeons in the GTA.

I had 3 consults before choosing my (thankfully amazing) surgeon. I traveled to New Market, Ontario to the York Plastic Surgery Centre where Dr. William Andrade practices; the minute I walked in I was almost positive this was the place!



First: The Clinic!

The practice is just gorgeous, everything you'd hope for in a high quality office, just sparkling white everything yet still a welcoming atmosphere. The nurses and ladies running the front desk are just the sweetest people and remembered me by name by my third visit, even with all their patients coming and going they still make friendly conversation with every person.



Second: The Surgeon


Dr. Andrade is an extremely talented doctor as you can see by all the positive reviews on the clinic's website and google! He knows his stuff and I willingly listened to his plan of action for my situation, which I'm glad I did.



Third: The Surgery (Pre and Post)

I was able to personally send Dr. Andrade photos that represented my goal look. He gave me an optimistic out come while cautioning that everyone's healing processes are unique. The day of my surgery me and my mom made the hour long drive to the clinic and within 4 hours I was getting wheeled out. To be honest, the sleep I had while under anesthesia was the best sleep of my entire life- the waking up part not as fun. I woke up in a lot of pain but luckily the nurses took good care of me and I even had the kind Anesthesiologist check in a few times. The drive home was rough but the Oxycodine and gravol knocked me right out. I stayed in bed the first few days on pain killers with the company of my dogs and Netflix and probably by the 5th day I was up and about just couldn't lift or make any major movements. I took about a month off work to ensure I healed since my job requires lots of constant heavy lifting. I had a couple follow up appointments but no complications thankfully, just lots of bruising (due to my meds).

At my year follow up, I proposed that the areola circumference be made smaller. Due to my tiny frame, I thought it would suit me better, plus I personally prefer the look. The Dr. agreed and we set a date for Dec 2018 for a small revisal. Yet again I came out happy with the results!



My overall rating on my experience:

I'm glad I went through with the surgery and I am so lucky to have gotten such a capable doctor. I know that there's a sigma with plastic surgery, that lots of people do it because they worry about what people think; but for me I just wanted to feel comfortable and confident. Now my breasts fit in my bras and shirts much better, they no longer flop around annoyingly and best of all I don't have this deep fear of becoming intimate with a new partner because even with the scars I'm happier than before with my body.



I recommend the surgery for someone who wishes to have it done, why not? You deserve to be content with yourself, even if it may be something silly like how your boobs look. And Dr. Andrade!, I obviously recommend him and his awesome clinic.
