WORTH IT$801
My sister got microblading done. I had never heard of it. But I had over plucked my eyebrows in the 90s and they were just too thin. I would pencil in, but that would just fill them, not change shape or size. I didn't want tattoo eyebrows because it didn't look natural. But after I saw my sisters I loved it. You couldn't even tell it wasn't hair. So I made an appointment ASAP. I just did it today and I love it already. It's very dark, swollen, and shiny. But my sister and the technician told me it would be shocking at first. But it fades quickly at first so they do it pretty dark. Also the shine is just the a&d ointment to help healing. I need to do that 2x day for 7 days. Im confident they'll be just as great as I hoped. It took about an hour. (But it was slightly longer because I did eyelash perming at the same time) I was advised to take ibuprofen before, but I did not. I just chatted to the technician during the process and it was done before I knew it. I thought it would be more painful and take longer. It felt somewhat like a hard short cat scratch. But as soon as they're done there is no discomfort. (Pain scale 1-10, 10 being worst. I would say maybe 2 or 3) I will have a touch up in a month and then yearly. So I'll update then too.

OK thank you for let me know I've heard great reviews of her just wondering what happens and the first week? Are they very very dark? I'm afraid I will look like Groucho Marx my friends had it done but they have dark hair all so I'm just paranoid for the first week and is there a lot of crusting I read reviews and some people say they just keep them dry I had a couple of friends I did it that's what they told me but on reviews here they say they moisturize them every day thanks for all the help I really want to do this soon

Lol. They pick a pigment that is much darker than your natural color because so much fades in the first week. So they are super dark. But today is 13 days since I had it done & they're perfect! I mean I am happy I got it done! They told me to use a&d ointment for 7 days. They didn't crust. I had some peeling a little bit. But only noticed when i wiped the old ointment off to re-apply. I think part pf the healing just depends on how you normally heal. Also they will draw them on first and you can pick the pigment, if you want. I had them use their judgement. I went to the same place as my sister so I knew they would turn out well.

Thanks for the information I just get confused because the friends of mine that did it did not put any A&E ointment on they did it in a place in Florida which I am going to be doing also but living in Connecticut so I know I will need a touch up in the years to come thanks for the information I just get confused because the friends of mine that did it did not put any A&E ointment on they did it in a place in Florida which I am going to be doing also but living in Connecticut so I know I will need a touch up in the years to come I guess I'm just checking because my hair is light she's been in business for a few years but I'm reading on here like you suggested using a ND ointment my girlfriend did not and she's now into one week and is just a few scabs and starting to peel I'm following what she looks like she looks pretty good she says they're OK And feel some kind of little scabs on them so we're deciding if she really should just put some A&E ointment or Vaseline on them I think today is seven days for her and I'm trying to help her out but I think I'm more nervous than anybody thanks for all the answers everybody does look great maybe I'm just paranoid also They do look a little dry on her so maybe I should tell her to put either Vaseline or AMD only been on? What is anybody else say here I just can't believe her place of business that she went to says don't put anything on at all we called and asked three times and they said no no no

I would just go where you feel comfortable. If they said no, then I guess no? But when I got tattoos they had me put the same ointment on. That was a needle & this is a blade, but still tattoo. If you like the way your girlfriends come out then I wouldn't be too worried. Knowing someone firsthand results is a good testament. Good luck & enjoy it!!

Your eyebrows look great! I was wondering if some pigment came out as you healed? Your before and after there is a distinct difference in thickness but your newest post they are thinner again, but more defined.
Did you loose some pigments?
I am loosing more than I want from my second follow up treatment, I like mine thicker and worried I'm loosing too much.

Yes, there is a big pigment loss. The technician said I would probably lose up to 50% of it. Thats why she made it so dark to begin with. So I knew that would happen. I tried to look at other pictures, but I don't take a lot of up close pictures of just my eyes. From further away I couldn't really see a huge thickness difference. But I wonder if some of the swelling and redness contributed to it? However since my 2nd posting is a week later, it might not be the final result after this round. I did hear that during healing they get much lighter because there is a milky layer of skin healing it. But then it falls off so the pigment will appear a little bit darker. If you want to go for another follow up and want thicker, you could ask them to do a very dark pigment. I don't see why you couldn't go again. Ill post more updates. If I can find some more pictures to compare Ill post those too.

Thanks so much for the response. That really makes sense. I liked mine a lot right after second appt because she did them thicker for me and they are pretty dark. Now I'm going into week two of healing and I'm worried because as they flake, I'm loosing strokes, I can see the pigment in the flakes that come off. I am keeping them moisturized with coconut oil as I was directed. I didn't loose this much pigment the first time. I am hoping what you said, is what my tech did, put extra to accommodate for the loss that happens. My whole point of having this done was because I wanted them thicker, I plucked too much as a teen and then lost some from a medication. It's interesting that so many don't like the thick dark part when they were first healing, because that's when I liked mine the best.
I guess I just have to wait a few more weeks and see what I end up with and go from there. I'm not sure my tech would do a third treatment with out a charge. The cost only included one micro blading treatment and one touch up appointment. I know any future touch up are 100.

Your eyebrows are lovely. They perfectly frame your face and are a nice thickness.
In your first photo you mention that you are not wearing makeup. Do you have permanent eyeliner then as well? Also, what is the "eyelash perming" you mention in your first post?
Thanks so much.

Thanks! In the very first picture with the two of just my eyes, I am not wearing make-up. In the one week later photo, I am wearing make-up. (The one with my hair down.) The third one with my hair in a side braid I have NO make-up on. In the last one I have some make up- foundation & blush. I do not have permanent eyeliner. I haven't seen that done in person so I don't think I would try that. The eyelash perming is just like hair perming. The esthetician puts a tiny roller around your lashes and then puts a perming solution on them. Awhile later they are rinsed and your lashes are permanently curled. (Until they naturally fall out.) You pretty much just lay down for 45 minutes with your eyes shut the whole time. You don't feel anything, but there is a chemical smell during the process. The eyelashes look nice, but I wouldn't do it again. I've been doing eyelash extensions for over a year and that is much more dramatic. (What I prefer.) In the first photo posted you can see my eyelashes are just a bit more curled than the before picture. But in my last two pictures I have the eyelash extensions in and they are MUCH longer, darker, and fuller. I don't have to wear eye make-up at all. (If I do, it's for special occasion and it's only eye shadow. You wouldn't need mascara with extensions. With perming you would if you want them to look thicker and darker.) The eyelash perming was $85 and lasted two months. Eyelash extensions for a full set is $125 and then $65 for a fill every three weeks. Hope this helped!

Thanks so much for explaining eyelash perming. Sounds like eyelash extensions are the preferred way to go. Do the extensions cause breakage?

December 27, 2016
I've been getting the extensions for a year and haven't had any damage to my lashes. But I have been told they could cause damage if you use them too much. They just fall out with my natural lashes. The only time I had damage was when I had surgery and my eyes were taped shut. When the tape came off it did rip some lashes out. I had a gap on the right lid for a few weeks until my natural lashes grew back & I could get a refill. (They won't put lashes on "baby" lashes, or in the very corner of your eye.)

Hmmm . . . sounds like I should try the extensions :-)
Thanks so much for sharing your experiences.
