A Little Over 6 Months Post
WORTH IT$6,501
A little over six months, not much has changed with my incisions. I tried the Embrace, had a terrible allergic reaction, so now I am using Scar Away. The pictures I posted are a bit misleading as my scars are not that dark or raised as much as they appear to be in the photos. Either way, I’m not happy at all with them. Gained some weight, so my stomach muscles are not as defined as they were but it’s ok, I will get it back, no worries. I still wear my binder at night because I feel more comfortable in it and I still swell and feel numb sometimes. Overall I am happy with my decision to have the surgery. and I will continue to treat my scars and see what happens.
Happy Healing

Four Months Post-op
I’m a couple days late but It’s been 4 months and I don’t have much to report since last month. I didn’t take any pictures this time around because I don’t think the difference is that noticeable. My incisions are still dark but are flattening some. I’m using Mederma faithfully but I am thinking about trying the Embrace scar strips. I just want them to lighten, any suggestions? I still swell everyday, but it goes down by morning and I still sleep in my binder. Emotionally I still have my days of “was it all worth it?” And I always come back to the same answer “YES”. Wishing you all a Speedy Recovery and Happy Healing.

hey! nice to hear from you! I was using mederma too but I feel like it made my scar worse. I used it, stopped and used the palmers cocoa oil, and then went back to it and my scar became red and raised! I think it works for some and not others. glad to hear you are doing well! it’s going to just keep getting better too!
Hey girl, yeah I’m still hanging around here, lol! Ughhhhh to the incision!!!! I just want to wake up one day and it be gone, lol, that’s my fantasy. But my reality is that I will continue look for the right solution. Kudos to you for killing that P90X. You are my shero, lol! Keep pushing. Peace & Blessings.
awe you are too kind! thanks for your encouragement! that scar will fade! give it time :)
hello! I am 3 months post op and I am going through the exact same thing, feelings and all. I was wondering if anyone else was still swelling. I have used the scar strips since I was cleared for scar therapy and I have to say that my scar is pretty flat and it is not as dark as I thought it was going to be (I am mexican and scars usually turn really dark on me) so I am pretty satisfied with the scar strips. Hope everything continues to improve for you, keep us posted!
Hi! Thank you for sharing, I looked at your review and I can relate to sooo much of your journey, it’s like we are surgery twins, lol! OMG I didn’t know either that my butt would disappear, but honey it is back, I think a little too much because it is eating up my panties, lol! I want to go up a size, but then the waist is too big. Are you still using scar away or a different strip, I’m thinking whatever you are using will work for me because we have similar complexions. I plan to keep updating and I am now following you. Happy Healing. Peace & Blessings.
If your 3 months pics looks like now then you look gorgeous!!! Beautiful shape and flat tummy. Just beautiful!
Thank you soooo much. I think I look pretty good. Struggling with my diet though, but every day is a new day to get it right. All of the encouragement you ladies provide really helps. And it helps that you look amazing!!!!! Such an inspiration! Peace & Blessings.
Girl you look wonderful!!! I wish my tt scar looked like yours but that will never happen. I’m still so happy I did this though. Your scar is beautiful and so low and those abs girl!!!
Thank you girl!!!! I went to your review, your incision apart from where the necrosis was is fading nicely. I can only hope and pray that mines gets that light. I bought the Embrace it have applied it yet, probably tonight before I go to bed. I haven’t been eating clean, so my abs are not poking thru like at 3 Months. But tomorrow I start a new regiment to get toned and make it to my goal weight. Happy Healing. Peace & Blessings.
Good luck on getting back on it girl. You can do it!!!!! And thanks. I just wish that middle part would lighten and where the drains were are a lot darker on my scar, kind of looked like yours was a little like that too. Wonder why those areas stayed darker, oh well no biggie they will fade eventually. I’m sure of it
thanks for posting! I’m a few mints behind you. the only thing that doesn’t bother me is my scar but I don’t know if I’m just not critical of others but I think u look flipping fabulous! I’m actually very jealous! my belly is still protruded like I drink beer, and I still have drains in after 2.5 weeks and they are angry at me! I unfortunately have great shapely legs but they are covered with chunky cellulite so when I see you I’m jealous. but hey I’ll always look good in clothes and typically I’m always dressed! I’m not sure how to follow you cuz I’m a bit slow on the uptake after the surgery. thank so much for your honesty and candor. I think it’s good to know we all struggle with this that and the other thing. have a fabulous rest of your journey, and please keep the updates coming! best Jill
Those stupid drains, lol!
Hey Jill, thank you sooo much for the compliment, it helps me so much during this recovery. I go back and forth in my head all the time about whether or not it was worth it. That dreaded cellulite, I have some on my butt and thighs as well. I’m headed over to your review. Happy Healing. Peace & Blessings

3 Months Post Op
Hi Dolls, I’m back for my 3 month update. Feeling more and more normal. Back in the gym, light abs, but everything else is cool. Tried P90X by accident at the gym, my abs were mad for 3 days, sore and swollen. Won’t do that again. My diet is trash, but working on it. Let’s get into these pictures. My incision drives me crazy especially at the drain sites, but I am pretty consistent with the Mederma, so we shall see what happens. My belly button darkened a bit over the last month except for the light ring around it from my overuse of skin lightener, ugh!!!!! Also I don’t know if you guys remember early on that I thought my belly button was off-center, well the flatter I get the more you can tell, but whateva, it is what it is, my tummy still looks 200 times better than pre-op. As far as garments. I wear spanks during the day, my sweat belly band at the gym and I still wear my binder to sleep. I’m a side sleeper and it’s more comfortable with the binder on. It’s working my husband’s nerves, so I try to go a few hours without it during the night. Lol! Emotionally I’m feeling good, happy that I took the leap and I know my result will continually improve. Be back next month.
