Velashape is a fraud, my fat loss was from type 1 diabetes

Well it has been a while. Somehow I found my way back to the site reading a post about a mole removal on an eyelid. What I thought was results from velashape was actually weight loss due to type 1 diabetes . I lost about 20 lbs, I was eating & drinking everything in sight and I was starving hungry & severely dehydrated- I ended up in the ICU a few weeks after this post here and two days after a long overdue diabetes diagnosis, I was in dka. I am lucky I survived it all...I had damage to my vision and blood clots and two hospital stays and this is my life now so I can say now that the Vela shape had nothing to do with what was going on with the fat loss- it was all my body burning my fat because I could not metabolize glucose.

When I finally went back to the spa I told the lady who had been doing the treatments what had happened. I can’t remember why I went back there now it was for some other treatment because I stopped velashape obviously LOL. I can’t believe now I went through all of the pain and bruising for nothing thinking it was actually doing some thing when I was so seriously ill. I have gone to numerous doctors and not one of them diagnose that I have diabetes and finally I went to my own Doctor Who did not put me in the hospital right away when I was already in DKA with high key tones high protein and high sugar levels in my urine and trouble breathing. Two days later I was in the ICU near death. Thank goodness I made it through. I also recently survived Covid double viral pneumonia.

Ladies & gents velashape is a fraud and a waste if your money. I had terrible bruises all over my arms- I will come back here and post a pic from then if I can and it was so painful. After my weight loss from the diabetes I stayed pretty thin for a while I had muscle wasting too, eventually I started to build my muscles back. The only way I could control my blood sugar was by eating two meals a day and it feels like you’re starving all the time when you’re on insulin. But then I ended up in the hospital with digestive problems and almost in DKA again. I totally eliminated not just gluten but all grains which I had done after my diagnosis but separating my dishes and sterilizing all of the dishes as well, then I started to gain weight that I had lost with the digestive problems and I started eating three small meals a day- unfortunately now though I have gained a bit especially with the covid pneumonia because I had to drink juice all the time for that to stop the terrible back pain and crashing blood sugar or at least to try and stop it. It is very hard to lose weight when you are on insulin even though I barely eat at all. at this point though my health problems I don’t even care anymore I just cover my arms up if it is not warm weather etc.

I cannot do any exercise for them now and I am in therapy first for my back then I sprained my ankle and now my knee. We have to realize they are more important things in life? If there is a treatment that will help the fat on my arms and it is not too expensive I may try that at some point as long as it is safe ( assuming we can ever got to a spa again with covid etc. ) but I will never put myself through that kind of pain again. I’m going to try some ultrasound at home because I’ve heard that helps and I have that for treating all of my injuries anyway. With all of the money that you spend on these treatments if you can you’re better off just to buy the machine if it is safe LOL.

I have had nearly 18 treatments on my upper under...

I have had nearly 18 treatments on my upper under arm area as well as my love handle and tummy. I'm in good shape and not overweight but have mild bat wings on upper arms and small fat deposits in the other areas that sometimes bulge a bit when I gain a few pounds. I have had some tightening in the arms and significant reduction and smoothing of fat in the other areas. I got my first bunch of treatments on a coupon and continued with that discount for more treatments. the cons are I had significant bruising on my arms and for me it is quite painful at times. using lidocaine gel helped and as it heats up the pain goes down for me. I wish I had a machine at home to do the maintenance myself. I have been loosing weight and exercising more also and I drink tons of water. I would say that my arms did not have as dramatic and effect and I may consider regular lipo and then more velashape for them, but I will continue with exercise for a while first probably as velashape seems to make the exercise more efffective for me. I had done tons of exercise and had no results for my arms.
