Boobs are Two different shapes
QueenPerfectionAugust 10, 2018
Boobs are two different shapes. One breast needs a lift. Looks odd when I lay down. Looks good when I’m standing. I Also need scar revision which I have to pay for! Lol no way! Maybe it still to early to call. 4 months post opp do I will try to remain optimistic but if I drop $14,000, I expect close to perfection. Oh well lesson learned. Doctor is a nice guy tho.

Hi there, I think all breasts “look a little odd” when laying down. Can you post a pic in a standing up position? I think it would be better in determining what kind of assymetry you have. I’m not an M.D. but I think 4 months postop it’s a little early to tell if you need a scar revision. Scars typically enter what is known as the “angry phase” about this time (three and four months postop) where they may darken or turn red or puffy. It usually takes 12 to 18 months or longer to see the final result. Just curious did you ask your PS if you would have to pay for scar revision? Many PS usually do scar revisions in office... at little to no cost for their breast lift patients. I paid much less than 14K and my PS did my scar revision at no cost. In any case it certainly wouldn’t hurt to ask your PS if you could do the same, especially given the amount you’ve already paid. Good luck and wishing you the best! :-)

I agree...it's very early to tell. I'd give it at least another few months for things to settle before deciding for sure. Maybe even a whole year. But 14,000 is a lot of money to pay. Have you asked your surgeon directly about his revision policy? You'd like to think he would have a excellent no cost or low cost revisions policy if he is asking that much money for the initial surgery!
How do they look in other positions? I think most breasts look a little wonky in a laying down position. That's just gravity. Either way I'm hoping you have improvements to your full satisfaction soon!

Yes imo that is an extremely high amount to be charged for a scar revision from the same PS that did the original surgery. If you end up needing a revision you may want to let him know how disappointed you are with his revision policy. I know others here that have done the same... and their PS responded back with a more reasonable price. And if he doesn’t... at the very least you’re helping others that read your review know what to expect with this particular PS. Good luck and please keep us posted.

I hope my insurance will cover it. Because sometimes scar revision is covered. The scars are due to injury from large implants. So it may get covered.

Are you in the USA? I’m curious to know what insurance you have. My understanding is that most health insurances is in the USA do not cover anything related to plastic surgery or breast implants the exception being breast reconstruction and prosthetic devices for breast cancer patients (post mastectomy). I still think your best bet if and when the time comes would be to speak to your PS about your disappointment in your overall results and his cost for a revision. Although it may be too soon to have a revision it’s never too soon to discuss your concerns with your PS.

Mild Grade CC in right breast. Will do ultrasound treatments to soften my right breast. The right breast was giving me problems from the very start and never quite settled at perfectly at the left breast.
