Pure Perfection.

Today marks 6 mo from my date of surgery. I was saving my review to post for a special occasion. I will start out by safely saying - I could not have made a more perfect choice for my plastic surgeon. Dr. Cangello came highly recommended by a friend of mine. I have been wanting a rhinoplasty/septoplasty since junior highschool. I had a large dorsal hump, severely deviated septum, difficulty breathing and overall HATED my nose ! I remember reading countless reviews, researching, studying videos & credentials, and always being afraid to pull the trigger. As my 30th birthday approached, I decided this is the year I am going to make a change. The first surgeon I sought a consultation with - was Dr. Cangello. He is the kindest man you really ever could meet. During my initial consultation, he explained the procedure I would require to address all my concerns - physically and functionally. He took a significant amount of time to draw diagrams, answer my countless questions and concerns. I left the office saying, THIS IS MY DOC ! Confidently, a few months later I scheduled surgery and followed up for my pre-op appointments. Dr. Cangello’s staff - Puja in particular was amazing - and ensured everything went as smooth as humanly possible. On the day of surgery, I was very nervous as I had never had surgery before. Dr. Cangello sat in the room with me prepping me for surgery, calmed my nerves and fears and assured me everything would be fine. Unlike MANY physicians and surgeons - his bed side manner is exceptional. You can tell by Dr. Cangello’s delicate touch that he would be the perfect artist and meticulous surgeon to achieve the results I wanted. I had a wonderful expierience in the OR, the nurses were phenominal - really put me at ease, and I woke up in the recovery room in 0 pain. The surgery took longer than expected as Dr. Cangello had mentioned it could, depending on the internal issues. He had a specific plan which needed to be adjusted based on how he could accomplish the best end result. I have to be completely honest - I was anticipating horrendous pain and discomfort in the days to follow. Dr. Cangello provided prescription pain killers as well as medication for nausea. I did not even fill the prescriptions. I took one dose of Tylenol the night of surgery, and did not take anything else from that day forward. My healing process was great, I had absolutely NO bruising. While I had some swelling on days 2-4, it was not painful, AT ALL. The most difficult part of recovery for me was sleeping upright, as I am a stomach and side sleeper. I had my cast off 1 week later - my suture line was already very faint and the difference was incredible. The swelling has continued to decrease every day, week and month following - and after 6 months, I can vouch to say everything Dr. Cangello predicted came true. I would HIGHLY recommend Dr. Cangello without any hesitation or reservation. He is a brilliant surgeon, with the best set of hands in the business. I would not look further or consider any other surgeon to choose for the job - big or small. From start to finish my surgical process was easy and Dr. Cangello & staff makes every patient feel the way they should - happy, confident, and pain free ! Thank you Dr. Cangello for the amazing job you did and for making my dream come true ! You’re the BEST ! Will he his life-long patient long until he decides to retire.
