Tummy vs. Duty Belt 6 wks post op

Well it's been 6 wks and now that I'm back to work my tummy seems very sensitive. From the uniform shirt to the duty belt (yes, you've guessed it I'm an Officer) it feels very weird on my new tummy. The swelling is still going down so I'm getting more and more feeling back in my stomach. Has anyone else experienced this? It's an amazing transformation bcs every step of the way is a new adventure. Training myself to take it easy and relax is hard but I'm getting thru it. Still exercising but no Elliptical until next month's clearance by my Surgeon. Will post pics very soon. God Bless and God Speed Ladies!!!!

5 weeks post op and Back @ Work

Well it's my 2nd day back at work and it's been a little tough! No more sweatpants and leggings which were very very helpful in my Tummy Tuck recovery. I'm an Officer and my Duty Belt is not a TT best friend to say the least. But by the grace of God I've survived it thus far. Lol Needless to say I drive home and it's Sweatpants
City!!!! All I can say is take your time ladies bcs all of this journey is a process and this is just a reminder to me of just how much. I'm sure as I heal and the swelling hoes down it will feel much better. The main discomfort comes from where the drains were. My firearm sits on one side and my radio sits on the other :( Pray for me Ladies!!! Time is definitely needed to recover. God Bless :)

4 week 2 day update tummy looking fab!

Finally getting more and more feeling in my new tummy. Right below the belly button is still numb so I'm a little nervous about putting on my uniform pants next Tuesday (back to work). Still haven't worn jeans yet although they fit. Haven't had a button over my stomach yet. Maybe I'll try this weekend. Been back in the gym but haven't gone too crazy yet bcs I can feel even the treadmill when I'm on it, so I simply lower the speed and keep walking. Don't want to set my progress back by over doing it. Tomorrow is my 4 week update visit with my amazing Surgeon! Will keep you all posted. :)

Dr. Copeland was extremely professional and thorough in explaining the procedure and all that it entailed. Her staff from the secretary to the massage therapist (yes! I was given a lymphatic massage) was incredible. Best choice I ever made!!!
