So... I've been thinking about doing SmartLipo for two years now and I just made my payment!!!! It's really going to happen. I'm some what of a naturalista though so it kindve goes against how I've been trying to live. However, after having a baby and assisting two other women to have babies (I'm an egg donor,) my curves are gone and this weight has gotten out of control. So I've decided to move forward. I've decided to do my full back and flanks because I cant afford to have it done on my stomach right now and what's most important to me is getting my small waist back first. Then after surgery I'll start working off the rest.

I'm very anxious and nervous and excited all at once. You guys are the only one around me who know that I'll be having this done because I'm just not ready to tell!!! I'm going to post the pre opp pics shortly...

I was a super-naturalista before, too. I still am in diet and clothing and stuff. But after Invisalign, I was like, I need to do what I need to do. And I had a singleton and twins, so I feel you :). Thank you! You're really sweet. I've done the whole dieting thing but after two cycles of egg donation, ano IVF meds, my hormones aren't in balance so I need the help. :-/ I'm super nervous though. My anxiety is definitely kicking in. Lol

I wrote a really long play by play of the past two weeks and lost it when I tried to post pics... I'll rewrite that another day. Today marks week two. I had to go in to have seroma removed yesterday and I'm going in tomorrow to make sure I dont have anymore to be drained. I'm as lumpy as doc would love me to be and still sore but I definitely see and FEEL the difference. I'm fitting into my jeans without the muffin top and I feel soooo much lighter! Pics to come shortly!

Hi, Congratulations!!!!! I see you went to the doctor I am interested in going to. I want to get my full back done, flanks, arms, and abdomen but I can't afford to get everything done at once but I'll see what my options are..... how are you feeling now? how long did the pain last? How's Dr pakeman? I heard he's a great Dr.. Is that True?

Hi! Please pardon the delay. I've been so busy with moving and work that I havent been on here since my last post. To answer your question: Yes. Dr. Pakeman is amazing. He's a perfectionist and he wont stir you wrong. He's very honest and seems to genuinely love what he does: craft a better version of the body he's working on. I've texted him randomly just to ask random questions about what I can do to speed the healing process along and he always answers. Or he'll have his office call me in for an appointment just to check and see that everything is okay. I feel good. I'm not completely healed yet. My skin is still a little weird. But no pain. just some lumps... which by the way, have lessened every time I've gone to get a lymph drainage massage. (I've had two.) I highly recommend him! He's a really great doctor and even nicer man. Not to mention his staff! I love them. They are very attentive and honest.

So excited to see how it goes! Don't forget to get pictures that first day or two, so that you'll know how it's gonna look after the swelling sets in! You'll still be swollen right after the procedure, but it'll get worse before it gets better.

So it says 1 day pre-op but you said two days. Are you on the 10th or the 11th?

I had it done today. I'm wrapped up though and my doctor doesnt want me to unwrap myself so I'll have to go see him tomorrow to get unwrapped and see my results. I feel all this drainage and I really want to take a shower so this kindve sucks. lol I havent felt much pain though. Probably because as soon as I felt an inkling I popped two Tylenol Extra strength. I'll def post pics tomorrow when I see what I look like.

Congratulations!!!!! You may even still be numb from the tumescent fluid. That can last over a day in my experience. Happy healing to you :):):):)
