I have always had a skinny/thin build, but thanks...

I have always had a skinny/thin build, but thanks to genetics have always also always had a bulge in my stomach. To be fair, my diet habits didn’t always help, but even the times I was careful and active, I still had a bulge.

I finally decided to do something about it after hearing about non-surgical procedure options. Initially I was looking into Cool Sculpting, but after reading stories about people who did it, and made it worse (random possible side effect,) I became hesitant, as luck would have it, my dermatologist office happened to send out an email about a special they were running on SculpSure.

After doing some research, and going in for a consultation, where they determined I only needed one round, I took a chance. I went in trying not to have unrealistic expectations, but in the end, it turned out better than I expected.

The procedure itself was easy enough, but I won’t lie, discomfort sometimes became pain. I’m sure the intensity depends on where you get it, but for me, it felt exactly like terrible menstrual cramps. The first couple minutes weren’t bad, but as it goes on, it progressively got worse. I was definitely ready to be done, and it didn’t help that I have a sensitive stomach.

Luckily, It goes in cycles of heating and cooling for 10 seconds each, I was grateful for the cooling periods when they came. The heating periods were the problem, and there were points if it had gone beyond 10 seconds, I would have cried mercy. I never been in labor, but I totally respect those who have much more now! They do have a little bit of control over the intensity, but I wanted to make sure I had the best chance at results, so I let her keep it higher. However, about 20 minutes in, I asked her to turn it down a notch.

But it was worth it. It really did take a full 12 weeks to see results. I also feel like I continued to see results for a couple months after. I wasn’t completely flat, but the front bulge was definitely less and along my sides I was more sculpted. I didn’t take before pictures, but I know for sure this isn’t wishful thinking on my part. The true test came during periods when I was eating bad and not exercising, I never got the bloat I have gotten in the past. That was both good and bad - bad because I’ve taken advantage of this more than I should have, letting myself get a bit more lazy because I’m not seeing the effects of poor eating habits right like I have in the past.

When I’m sticking by to a healthy diet and exercising, though, it’s even better. I’m trying not to use this as an excuse to cheat more, but if that is appealing to you, there is that benefit.

Definitely worth it for me. It’s not a miracle, and won’t get the same results as lipo, but if you can’t afford surgery and just need a little help to look less flabby, then I definitely recommend it
