Revision Rhinoplasty - Couldn't Have Asked for a Better Surgeon! - New York, NY

I found Dr. Liotta almost by accident. I had already been to a highly recommended surgeon on Park Avenue and was in the final stages of planning the surgery when a friend suggested I get a second opinion. It had been revealed during the consultation process with my the first surgeon that in addition to the cosmetic issues from my first rhinoplasty there was also an impact to my breathing ability. This complicated my search for a surgeon because I needed a surgeon who was experienced with the cosmetic aspect as well as the medical.

After some searching I found Dr. Liotta, initially just for a second opinion. However, within our first appointment I cancelled my plans with the initial surgeon and went with Dr. Liotta. She was honest and helped me set realistic expectations, for example, I had some scarring on the sides of my nose from the 1st surgery, the first surgeon had planned to remove by using a method to "cut" the scars out, when I mentioned this to Dr. Liotta she advised that she thought this would make my nose too narrow and overall would not work aesthetically. Throughout the whole process I really valued her honesty to tell me her opinion as well as prepare me for some of the decisions she might have to make during surgery based on what she found.

We met several times before surgery, Dr. Liotta has a helpful guidebook that I read through several times and had multiple questions on. Dr. Liotta made herself accessible throughout the whole process usually responding within 24 hours with clear guidance as I prepared for surgery. I followed her dietary and supplement recommendations to a T and think it helped with my healing process. After the surgery, she followed up several times (despite it being Thanksgiving) which I appreciated.

2 months after the surgery I'm very happy with the results, Dr. Liotta reconstructed the tip of my nose extensively repairing collapsed cartilage and correcting my profile. It looks natural and fits my face which was the goal that we had discussed. My breathing has also improved, however, still not 100%.

All in all I couldn't recommend Dr. Liotta more highly, she's a skilled surgeon who was able to address my revision rhinoplasty from both a cosmetic and medical perspective, she was understanding, caring and a lovely doctor to work with.
