Surgery at Mt. Sinai's resident clinic

Hi MieGee3...I am still healing too! I have an appt. on Jan. 16th for my 6mth follow-up. I want to ask him about a revision. My neck needs more lipo and jowls and frown lines still prominent.

When did u call?

I called about 3 weeks ago.

I got appt in jan 2. When he said to come in.

oh... that is good!!Bet you cannot wait to get your chin revision.

I m still thinking about complete removal or getting a smaller implant.

Everything is included, it is done in hospital OR , w anesthesiologist, all the anesthesia, all the procedures sx done that day. All fees included for that price.
Whether u do alittle or alot.same price.

Wow that is very reasonable. I had my upper eyelids and endoscopic browlif done and paid 5k.

The fees were for all procedures.

Thank you, Lowerhairline!! The doc was a little conservative but I would rather it be that than too much. The residents are young at Mt. Sinai. I go back for my 6 month checkup Jan. 16th. I will be coming from PA. I will talk to him about a touchup. I am very sorry for your situation. I read your profile a few weeks ago. You had your hairline done in 2015...no change 1 year after... now that 2 years passed, has anything changed?

Hi Rochelle! Thanks for asking about my situation. Unfortunately, the results are the same. No change at all. I regret getting that surgery so much -- but I can't change the past :(

I've been following your updates, and your results are really nice. I had rhinoplasty w/ the same doctor as you @ mount sinai, and he was conservative w/ my surgery too. I wish I had gotten more done though -- but I have another appt. in Jan. I didn't post a review, but he did nice job, and it was a great experience.

Also wanted to add that, my mom loves your results too. I showed her your review and she really likes the outcome. I saw your review before I got the surgery, so I was happy to see that someone else had surgery w/ him. Please keep us posted on your January follow up.

Oh, you have been to Mt. Sinai?! Nice!! Tell your mom I said thanks for the compliment. I notice a difference in my eyes, but just a little bit on the facelift itself. I am trying not to dwell on the disappointment until Jan 16th 6 month checkup.

Yes, I had the rhinoplasty in August. Try not to be too disappointed -- you really do look nice, and thanks again for replying. January 16 is just a month away!

Thanks for commenting suitsmefine!! Yes, maybe its hard to determine exactly how much to tighten the first time. I will find out when I go for my 6 month checkup. Did you have a 6 month checkup and if so, were your jowls showing then?

Hi Rochelle, I’ve had multiple check up visits to my doc, the latest one was Nov 3rd. We’ve discussed the marionette lines several times. He does not recommend filler as it would probably make my lower face look heavy. He thinks that if he’d pulled more to get the marionette lines tighter, that the results may have looked unnatural, and that the settling of the results should now be very minimal going forward. We shall see.

Have ur person pick up the meds while ur in sx or get them b4. So the pharm can get it if they dont carry it on stock.
I was suffering bc l waited to fill it, pharm didnt have it, got it next day. What an inconvience.

Pharmacy must be close by...I should just look...thank goodness we’re going today instead of the am so I’ll have time to get. Thanks very much

U canstay in Recovery, until u feel able, then they take u to discharge area, u can stay there till u get ur bearings and get dressed.
I get bad rxn from anesthesia, so was in R for 6+ hrs, nausea then sat in discharge area for 1 hr, when l was able to walk and feel ok.

No I got mine PRIOR to going, did you get your scripts already? If not , have them send the scripts to your store and pick them up, The ONLY one that is important is the PAIN med.

good luck and tell whoever you are going with to NOT wait at the hospital. Too long to wait there and the dr will text when you are coming out of surgery. You then have at least several hours in recovery...

I had sx 12/13 and had a horrible time with nausea! Recovery and discharge were adamant I stay until I felt better, and gave me plenty of Zofran to help! There were still quite a few in recovery at midnight. Yep, sx was at noon :). Thanks for the advice!

My husband got my scripts at Walgreens. My insurance covered them as well.

I had nausea too. The anti-nausea medicine helped me but they told me it will make you sleepy. Think that is why it took me a long time to wake up enough to go to place I was staying.
