How it works
  • Our highly-trained Review Moderation team evaluates all reviews before they're published to ensure they're written by people like you and not a member of a doctor's office.
  • This multi-step process takes up to 24 hours from review submission to publication.

2 years post-procedure update

In response to some inquiries I am posting a 2 year after procedure update. This photo shows me today in 2019 versus 2015. (I had the procedure in 2017.) A few have asked about tugging or droopiness under the eyes over time and (so far) nothing like that to report. I did have a strange pulling or tightness sensation actually inside my eyes when I looked very far left or right for a period of time after the first few months but that went away in time. I do have wrinkles under my eyes but since I am 48 I think that is normal and age related; and not the result of the procedure. Glad to answer any other questions. And again tremendous thanks to Dr. Kotlus.

8 and a half month update

This set of photos shows my eye-bags 2 years ago, a year ago, and today. (The most recent 2017 photo is in the kind of lighting I normally would avoid whenever possible in the past.) The surgery was truly life changing for me internally and externally and it continues. It was worth the 20 year wait to find the right doctor. Feeling so lucky to have taken this step. If you are considering it, my vote us to go for it. You will wish only that you had done it sooner.

Final follow up

I had my final post operative follow up and Dr. Kotlus was extremely pleased with the results - as am I, if it's not apparent by my rave reviews!

I'm signing off now unless some reason arises to post again, but my final thought would be to thank everyone on his forum for your presence, honesty, and support; and more thanks to everyone who has been posting their experiences so openly and honestly here. It was all immensely helpful.

Lastly, for anyone considering this surgery you definitely should meet with Dr. Kotlus for a consult. And if you have met with him already and plan to move forward, know that you are in excellent, highly capable hands. All the best!

This was the first doctor (of more than 50 I researched and 5 I met with for a paid, in-person consultation) I felt 100% comfortable moving forward with. He is patient, smart, and his practice focuses on eyes. I felt more than confident I had chosen the right doctor after our first meeting. And my follow ups beforehand secured this for me.
