I've wanted to straighten my smile for as long as I could remember, I just needed a bit of dental work done, and I could not afford that. This year I was finally able to get my procedures done, and decided to get clear aligners. Invisalign is too pricey, and Smile Direct club became out of my price range when they raised their prices and length of payment plans, so upon doing research I discovered SnapCorrect. It's basically the same steps as most clear aligners. I received my at home kit and made my impressions (I had to order another because I messed the first set up). The process of making the impressions, sending them and receiving/paying for my treatment plan took about 2 weeks. The length of my treatment is going to be 11.5 months. I was a bit surprised at this because my top teeth aren't that bad, but I have one really wonky tooth on the bottom. My aligners are currently being made and I will update as progress is made

Snap Correct Aligners, Aligner 1 and 2!

Received my aligners in the mail! It came with 2 sets, step 1 and 2. A carrying case, travel pouch, and whoteninf toothpaste. The first set may not seem as advertised (invisible) BUT thats intentional. The first set aren't intended to start any movement, they're meant to be worn to get used to aligners. Instructions say to wear for a week before starting your treatment with the second set. The trial set fit snug, as they should. The second set are clear and seem well cut. Will update soon!

I have to take back the part where I said they are clear. I took out the second set and they are not invisible as advertised. Its not terrible, but disappointing. Upon wearing the trial aligners for a few hours, my teeth are sore after taking them our to eat. To be expected though.

Trial aligners are PAINFUL

As ive mentioned, the treatment (at least mine) came with a set of trial aligners that cause no movement, they're just to get used to them. Youre supposed to wear them for a week, but it HURT to take them out. After 2 days, I couldn't bear it. This seems to be because they're just a generic cut of the tooth impressions. I put in the actual aligners last night before bed, and took them out for breakfast with just a bit of discomfort.

Have you told them about the discomfort you’re experiencing? How long did it take to receive your first set after sending in the impressions? It seems like you got them quick

I didnt mention the discomfort, I just stopped wearing the trial aligners. I feel like its pointless to wear because it doesn't do anything for your teeth. Mine wasnt properly cut, and there was a massive amount of pain taking them off, so i just stopped wearing them and started on my actual aligners. I have significantly less pain taking those out than I did with the trials. As far as the timing, I did get them pretty fast. From when they received my impressions to when my aligners were delivered took just under a month.

How is it going so far? Do you have discomfort or any difficulties? I have to send my THIRD impression kit because the first two weren’t good enough :(. I can’t wait to see your progress! Your teeth look almost identical to mine it’s crazy lol.

There's a bit of discomfort on one particular tooth when I take out my aligners to eat, but otherwise I'm fine. Although they are late with my new set. I'll be posting about that soon.
