Great Results Gynecomastia Surgery, Dr. Elliot Jacobs - New York

Dr. Jacobs did a wonderful job with my surgical procedure. For those of you contemplating gynecomastia surgery, I was once in your position and know how frustrating it can be selecting the right surgeon. As you know, you have to do your research. Let me briefly describe my experience. After visiting two local PS, I thought I found my guy. I was impressed by his reviews, he seemed to be knowledgeable in the procedure, and was relatively cheap, so I made an appointment and paid my deposit for the surgery. In the next meeting with the PS, my opinion of him drastically changed. He seemed more like a salesman and I didn't like the surgical technique he was adamant about using. Long story short, he never earned my trust. It just didn't feel right. I was uncomfortable, and knew I made the wrong decision, so I cancelled the procedure. After seeing all the reviews of botched gyne surgery I didn't want to take my chances. Realizing I almost made a big mistake, I decided to do a lot more research on top notch plastic surgeons. Let's just say it wasn't long before I came across Dr. Jacobs. The first thing I noticed was his high activity on message boards. Other PS also post in the forums, but Dr. Jacobs seemed to be the most helpful of all; offering (what I think was) the best advice. Another thing that really caught my attention is Dr. Jacobs even provides advice to those treated by other PS. Furthermore, the way other members refer to him as the top surgeon and because of the tons of stellar reviews made me seriously consider Dr. Jacobs. However, I wasn't gonna end my research without meeting the doctor in person. Unlike the first doctor I met with, Dr. Jacobs immediately earned my trust and never lost it. He did a spectacular job and I highly recommend him to anyone contemplating the surgery. Some people may argue the the cost of the surgery is the biggest con. That may be true... but isn't the the real question about cost effectiveness? Let me tell you having Dr.Jacobs as your surgeon is MORE THAN worth the cost. It is an assured successful surgery. Do you want to see failed surgeries? Just use google (i.e "gynecomastia botched surgery"/ "gynecomastia revision"), and you will see these are easy to come by. What is the common factor? Unexperienced gyne surgeons. Don't make this mistake. Set yourself up for success, not failure. One last thing I want to end with. Alot of people, including me, don't realize going into the surgery the length of "the road to recovery." It takes about 6-8 months to see the final result as your chest heals and contours properly. For many people, (as I noticed on the forums) this is a very stressful period. For me, this was not an issue, because I had Dr. Jacobs and his extremely helpful staff the WHOLE WAY through. Dr. Jacobs tells his patients to call the office or email him with any questions or concerns. On several occasions I emailed him, expecting to get a reply within a week. To my surprised he replied to my emails the SAME DAY within a few hours. On one occasion it was the weekend! How many doctors respond this quickly? Not many! In conclusion, even will the bar set super high before meeting with Dr. Jacobs, he exceeded my expectations. If your planning on gynecomastia surgery, you have to consider Dr. Jacobs. Read his reviews, email him on the forums, and meet with him in person. You will be glad you did!
